DaemonGrin
I'm having a de de de moment. Ok my ghoul necromorph has decided to go stretch armstrong on me. The left arm scythe is perfectly fine attacks are clean etc however a piece of the right thigh I had to rebuild (somehow managed to delete a couple verts there  ) and the right scythe arm want to reach for the stars. This is my first model tweaking so I'm not sure what I need to do to fix it.http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee197/Daemongrin/DMNecromorph01.jpg Thanks,Geoff
devinpatterson
I'm having a de de de moment. Open it in blender and check the vertices on that right scythe. It looks like some of them aren't parented to the bone you want. re: the previous convo, did you parent the skeleton to your mesh again after you sculpted the arm? DaemonGrin
All I did was extrude the hand edges a couple times thinking it would carry any parenting etc over. The other thing is the mesh is a single piece not divided into head, torso, hands etc its a solid piece so how do I check that? One other thing should I extend the hand capsules to the length of the arm scythes or will it be fine?
devinpatterson
In edit mode under vetex group you'll see a button to choose any group. You can use select to show what vertices are rigged to a bone or section. One or more vertices are probably rigged to a bone they shouldn't be. DaemonGrin
Ohhh ok I see whats going on thanks! It was my fault I duplicated the new verts I made out of the hand and mirrored it so it had to hands on one linked. XD
DaemonGrin
Having an issue with exporting it keeps telling me that both scythe hands are not attached to a body part even though I have the left hand verts attached to the bip hand 1 and the right assigned to the bip hand r Some faces of [object "feral ghoul"] not assigned to any body part. The unassigned faces have been selected in the mesh so they can easily be identified. Check console for possibly more details. And of course if goes back to the mesh in edit mode with the scythes selected. What have I done wrong XD Thanks,Geoff EDIT: Opened up another untouched ghoul and noticed the hands were part of the BP_arm parts and got it to export after re assigning. DaemonGrin
Now that I am thinking about it the dismemberment will my arm scythes turn into regular arms when shot/bashed/cut off? If so what do I need to modify for that? Thanks,Geoff
