Marxist ßastard
Okay, let's get this thread back on topic now. The King and Queen of Sentinel arranged to have their firstborn son, Arthago, taken away to a secluded area so that he would not inherit the throne. Humanoid races have seventy-one pain centers in their body, while elven races have seventy-four. Khajit have seventy-five. Other beast races have as much as one hundred and thirty-eight pain centers. Humanoid races are considered to be highly intelligent ape-peoples in High Elven culture. Scuttle is a cheese-like substance made from giant domesticated beetles. Bittergreen is a fast-growing slime triggered by rain that, when cooked, is safe and nourishing, but is highly toxic is eaten raw. Greef and Shein are produced from Comberry. Adrian Laguna
Vivec is not exactly half Chimer, half Dunmer, for that to be true one of his eyes would have to be red. Both of Vivec's eyes are Chimer (I suppose same is true for Sotha Sil).In Valenwood there are apemen that admire High Elven culture to a point bordering on worship. They all have titles such as duke, earl, sir, etc. even though none of them actually owns any land. They also wear capes and maybe other clothing. The most extreme of them even shave-off their fur. On top of all that they think humans are inferior to them, and the apemen pretend to find a human's smell offensive, they hold a perfumed corner of their capes to their noses when humans are around.
Curt Sibling
In the romanticised versions of the Red Mountain battle, the lore speaks of the hard-pressed Dwemer deploying a 'walking-star' which was eventually destroyed by the opposing divine powers. Was this a 'numidium' war-machine, like the one used by the first human emperor? Or was it a Dwemer hyper weapon, something on a far grander level? Whatever this elusive and huge machination was, it's destruction was what caused the red mountain to become a land of direness. This doom co-incided with the Dwemer's vanishing.Did the dwemer have some magic-powered disaster on an atomic scale? No one will ever know. Eichhorn
This might be a spoiler and OT If you wanna find out about the history of Nerevar, visit The halls of Justice in Vivec, then go into a small room called the hall of the Guards. In one corner of the room, you can find a trapdoor (almost completely covered by a rug)pick the lock of that door (50/75) - its no crime, fortunately no one will attack you if you do so. Then go through that door and the next one, too and you will find yourself in the secret library of the temple. At the left end of one of the shelves, you can find a document called Nerevar at the Red Mountain - it includes every bit of info existing about Nerevar. Curt Sibling
Not speculation, but in-game mystery. Of course I have read these documents, having completed the game serveral times... ;) The info I mentioned previously is from a book in the game, the exact name escapes me, but it is written in romantic narrative, and has a mystical way of describing the events of the Dwemer/Chimer war. The book also mentions Dreugh 'clockwork warriors' that draggeed the Dwemer centurions below the waves... Interesting.
Stormscape
and a correction on the Falmer:The Falmer actually looked like the other elves. They aren't the horrid Rickliengs. The Falmer died centuries ago. Do the questfor the Altmer in Raven Rock to find out. You'll have to visit pretty much every burrow though if you haven't found it out already. There's an interesting tale. "The Fall of the Snow Prince"
TSBasilisk
There are more than the 5 types of mer mentioned above. Here's the fullest list I know: Aldmer(First Ones): Original mer who departed Old Ehlnofex when it was destroyed; degenerated into current factions Ayleids(Wild Elves or Heartland High Elves): Truest descendants of Aldmer, who hide in the wilderness Altmer(High Ones): Snobbish claimers of pure blood dwelling in the Summerset Isles Chimer(Changed Ones): Altmer who changed their religious view and followed the prophet Veloth to Vvardenfell; transformed in Dunmer due to the Tribunal's greedy actions Dwemer(Deep or Smart Ones): Commonly misnamed Dwarves, the Dwemer were average height, were the first to colonize Morrowind, and sought knowledge through any means necessary, respecting no spirit; vanished during the Battle of Red Mountain Dunmer(Cursed Ones): Following the betrayal of the Tribunal, the race of the Chimer was transformed into the Dunmer, who inhabit Morrowind Bosmer(Tree Sap Ones): The weakest of all mer, the Bosmer are often the victims of war, trapped between the Khajiiti and Altmer; they have the ability to become plants and animals, and make their living more through stealth than anything else; they are forbidden from eating any plant material, and so must eat only meat, often resorting to cannibalism(there are enough bodies lying around, with how many get killed) Falmer(Snow Ones): A vanished race of Solstheim; rumors persist they degenerated into the Rieklings Maormer(Tropical Ones): A little-known race of mer who dwell in tropical climates Orsimer(Pariahs Ones): A race of mer the others have tried very hard to forget; when Trinimac, the Altmer hero-god, was transformed into Malacath by Boethiah, some of the Altmer followed Malacath, becoming the Orsimer, and eventually degenerating into the race of Orcs Manmer(Man Ones): The male without a father products of Altmer slavemasters and their Nordic slaves, the Manmer, as the Nords called them, were faithful to their Altmer ancestors, but were separated from them during the war that forced the Aldmeri Dominion out of High Rock; settling in High Rock, the Manmer eventually evolved into the Bretons Men are also a descended race of the mer. Their long lifespans were stolen by the Daedra in a bad deal, and they now live for only about a century. Khajiiti are believed to be the products of Azura interfering. Legend has it that Azura linked a group of Bosmer to the lunar cycles, and that the resulting subraces are the Khajiiti. Argonians are unique among the sentient species in that they are not apparently descended from some form of the Aldmer, who were in turn born of the Ehlnofey, or Earth Bones, who were the Aedra that birthed the world and became mortal. It seems that the Hist, a sentient species of trees, set several speices of non-sentient lizards against one another. The surviving species was gifted with intelligence, and became the Argonians. Breton Thief Oriana
 um, ive never read about maromer and manmer. i think those two are false. (BTY, i accidentaly started a new post about that, but not specifically that, in morrowind lore section) but back to topic. neat fax! skooma and moon sugar is illeagal, and if you have it when you do business with any one who sells ingrediants or potions, they make you leave. plus, dont sell your skooma when it gives you a speed boost that high. orcs are master armorers, but terrible as smart ppl. and the girl orcs are smarter than the boy orcs. plus, all boy orcs have a john wayne, or other western "heroic voice". many orcs wish they wernt orcs, but only one wants to be a Kajhitt, and he gives you neat things for sugar. bretons live in high rock, a province that is the second northern most province in tamerial. its secretly shaped like a lightning bolt because bretons are good spellcasters.
