andreyvsh
Memory Leak skee64.dll is causing a memory leak. This is very noticeable in densely populated locations and almost imperceptibly in dungeons where there are no people. If you use mods that add NPCs, for example Immersive Wenches, Deadly Wenches, memory leaks interfere with the game very much. 1.We go into any house in Whiterun and exit. I have + 200 Mb. We repeat, + 200 Mb more. 2. Fast travel Whiterun - Morphal - Solitude - Danstar - Winterhold - Windhelm - Riften - Ivarsted - Whiterun I get +2 Gb leaks. I repeat +2 Gb leaks. The more NPCs, the more memory leak. Rather, when you revisit the cell, the memory for the NPC is re-allocated. Who has mods for additional NPCs, check me. PS. On version 4.13 the same problem Disabling .esp doesn't help. Dll only Edited October 11, 2021 by andreyvsh
IsharaMeradin
And what is the behavior without RaceMenu installed? I would still suspect memory issues simply due to the NPCs needed to be loaded. The primary function of RaceMenu is the player character. It should have no impact on NPCs. andreyvsh
I would still suspect memory issues simply due to the NPCs needed to be loaded. The primary function of RaceMenu is the player character. It should have no impact on NPCs. You forgot about NiOverride technology. All NPCs have "Transforms" working. Including the very popular EquippableTransforms. The whole "High Heels" is now on this. Let's add BodyMorph and BodyGen. This is all focused on mass use. The allocation of resources for additional NPCs should be one-time, and I have this every time I enter the cell. Skyrim is constantly swelling in memory. I tried to edit the .ini file. Does not help. IsharaMeradin
If you've added additional mods that make use of the NiOverride code within RaceMenu and those mods affect NPCs, you cannot lay the blame at RaceMenu alone. RaceMenu by itself does not affect NPCs.
andreyvsh
You are wrong, mods has nothing to do with it. The information for EquippableTransforms is stored in a .nif file and Racemenu must check every NPC and every equipment item. But I will not argue further. As you wish. I started a new game, ran RaceMenu + Immersive Wenches + Deadly Wenches and got the problem. Then I hid skee64.dll in MO2.and the problem was gone.PS. Wenches have almost no scripts.Same with Interesting NPCsPSSForgotten Vale walkthrough does not give any memory leaks Edited October 12, 2021 by andreyvsh
HazakTheMad
Do you still have the problem with no other mods than Racemenu?
andreyvsh
Immersive Wenches + Deadly Wenches do not cause a problem. There is a leak without them. They allow you to see her better. I have tried yet Interesting NPCs. The result is the same. If has mods for additional NPCs, check me. Deleted67110921User
Have you solved your issue OP?I can not reproduce this memory leak with RaceMenu, neither with vanilla nor with a heavy mod list. Any increased memory usage when many NPC's are around decreases again once I leave the area. Can anyone else reproduce this? andreyvsh
Have you solved your issue OP? I didn't decide. The problem repeats itself even with a small number of mods. The number of NPCs only affects the amount of leakage. There is always a leak. Commencing skee64.dll right there removes the problem. I have the latest RaceMenu. kemmalungsalit
I found this a year ago and found without a doubt it was racemenu and never found a solution. I mentioned it in a few places but got shouted down by others. Bad load order they said, you're wrong, etc etc. For some reason everybody's got some kind of collective delusion about RaceMenu and many are dicks about it. I wish I could offer you a solution but all I can offer you is commiseration. I hope you get farther with it than I did.
