Jeir Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Are you using the correct version of SKSE for your version of Skyrim? Are you launching the game with the SKSE_loader.exe, and not the Skyrim launcher? If you recently updated, did you launch once with the Skyrim launcher before using the SKSE one? Secondrow Posted August 4, 2013 Share Posted August 4, 2013 I had the same problem with SKSE crashing to desktop. This is how I sorted it. SKSE is a 7zip file and I had unpacked it with WinRAR. So I then removed SKSE from the Skyrim file, I then unpacked it again but this time with 7zip. I then loaded this version (the 7zip unpacked one) into Skyrim and it has worked ever since. I got this info from somewhere on tesnexus at the time; the relative parts are copied below.“The download file is a 7z archive and must be extracted using the freely available 7zip archive tool” It then goes on to say.“Caution: using WinZip, WinRAR or most other archive utilities will result in corrupt files.” I hope that helps.
