Sangyerians
Okay, I just installed Fallout 3, right? I patched it up to v1.1 straight away, and when installed FOMM. When I tried to run it through FOMM straight away, it had a blank screen for a while, then crashed, giving me the "Fallout 3 has encountered a problem and needs to close" Windows Error message (I can give you those details if it helps). I then ran it through normal Fallout 3 launcher and the same thing happened. !??!#!(_@I!@??!?!?!?!??!?%&$! Edit: Okay, I accidentally swore in the title. I'm sorry, but I've just been waiting so long to play this game.

phoneyLogic
Give infos like this:-What OS do you use? XP/Vista?-How does the prob exactly look like?-What have you already done?-Witch version do you use?-What is your video card -> exact drivers! this increases the chances that somebody could tell you a fix are you running it as an admin? Sangyerians
Yeah, I just ran diagdx and it turns out my video card which has been fine for many years will not support Fallout 3. Also, apparently I need a gig of RAM, I need to confirm this though. However, will a weak video card really cause it to crash?
Spartan0536
quite possibly yes, if the Video card is insufficient you may get a crash to desktop or a black screen and hold, it may also be a memory related issue (RAM), install another gig of ram and newegg both the ram and video card just to be safe, I myself am having problems with FO3 and getting it to run, but my problems are because of my actions and my stupidity. Good luck!

phoneyLogic
If you would like to have a look into the manual? There are the minimum system specs mentioned :) I know, this is a kind of serious official information there, but you could try to trust them ;)

I can't find my manual, but I ran it through that program that tells you what games you can run. Apparently I don't have enough RAM or a powerful enough video card. oh well, time to put all that stock exchange money to good use.
