I'm not sure where you got that from euph....

The reason I ask if it's a legitimate Steam copy is because Vortex will automatically read your Steam App Manifest and resolve the installation location. If it can't do that then usually it's because the game isn't in the manifests.

I also ask about the 1.0.2 version because that is an update we released to cater for the new build of the game. Unless I'm mistaken the EXE name didn't change, it was just recompiled?

Yes, but the recompile changed it from VS2015 to VS2019. That translates into different libraries and addresses being generated. Sure, you can find a name, but can you find the proper address that needs to be called to "see", inject, and run the game? That's the core of the issue: changes in the libraries and the addresses. This update breaks a bit more than is "immediately visible to the eye", so to say.

As for the Steam version, I have no idea if the name changed, I use GOG. A post above says that the space was removed between "fallout" and "3". Perhaps something else to look into, because if you're looking for "fallout 3" instead of "fallout3", it won't work it seems.

Vortex does not "See, Inject, and run the game". It is irrelevant to Vortex how the game was compiled, and the internal addresses mean nothing.

We have enough problems without making up new ones.
