Morgwynn
I've often wondered about fold out couches in Fallout. I mean space is often at a premium and in a small bunker or player owned shack/house a couch by day and a bed by night sounds like a great way to make use of space. Some of the couches already look as if the back could fold down into a bed but they don't. And since most couches are placed in front of a t.v. set or radio it would be even more relaxing to fall asleep listening to the radio or watching old t.v. shows. Is it possible to make a fold out couch mod for smaller bunkers or player owned shacks/houses?

DaemonGrin
I've actually did something similar except simpler I just made a couch usable as a bed instead of the sit marker I opened nif up and made it a sleep marker and added the bed script. I don't think it would be to complicated but I'm awful at making 100% custom meshes at the moment and adding anims XD. Good luck,Geoff
devinpatterson
Is it possible to make a fold out couch mod for smaller bunkers or player owned shacks/houses? I can work you up a model using a bed and the couch to make a model of a hide-a-way. Then have a little script attached when you activate it to convert it (change models). Some room canbe left for sitting on it via the furniture markers. But honestly that's going to take up a lot more room than just a couch. Like DaemonGrin I changed the markers on a couch to save space in atiny office home (still has markers for sitting on teh right side (pic); http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/couchAsBed_zps5d212454.jpg But that's your call (couch vs a hide-a-way). I can't do animations though, so the model would just flip from open to close instantaneously.
Morgwynn
Hmmm just using a couch for sleeping works also but would the couch give a person the " Well Rested " 10% experience bonus that player owned beds give?

All player beds have the playerbedscript attached as long as the script is attached to the sofa bed you'll get that boost. ^^

It will save more room than a folding bed, and there are two models that could save a bit more as well. A cut down version of a workbench and reloading bench (pic); http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/NCRhome_zps931f2dd1.jpg You can download it and check it out if you want. Gunslinger is making the actual house this just has a few custom models in it. Here is the file. It's at hoover dam, COC HooverDamIntODeckVisitor center, go up the spiral stair case to the double door room. That cell (HooverDamIntODeck) has a capital O not a number 0 in it. on the second level. xaosbob
gary62 made a working hide-a-bed for his Phoenix Point player home mod. The house is located near H&H Tools north of Vegas, and is typical gary62--lots of interesting and cool touches.
