Belisarius68
Hey everyone, I've been having major issues with my Steam copy of Fallout 3. I have gone through the long process of downloading it to Steam, and then I tried to play it.Then it takes me to the Start Menu. But the only option there is Install. So I press that. But then it says that Fallout 3 "doesn't appear to be installed" and tells me to find the setup.exe by exploring the DVD-ROM drive to install it. But there's nothing there, because this is the Steam version. I've looked through the program files exhaustively, but I can't find anything that remotely resembles a setup file. Help? I really want to play this game..... This is my second thread, as the first was un-tagged and noticed by no one. I guess regardless of tags, it may still go unnoticed.... *sigh* Edited August 4, 2013 by Belisarius68

pkleiss
I feel for you man, I really do. This post of mine offers no help, but I just wanted to say... that after reading the problems of all the people over the years with all the problems they have had with the Steam version of Fallout s (and other games), that... Steam unequivocally, undoubtedly, irrevocably, absolutely, undeniably, repeatedly sucks the big one. What a useless third party piece of junk that only adds a layer of failure between the consumer and the product they wish to use. I wish you the best of luck getting 'er up and running, because the game itself is awesome. Cheers!
