Theres Getting Rather a Lot Of Games Now With Windows Live In Them And I Couldnt Careless About It .

It Hasnt Stopped Me Or Ever Will Stop Me Playing This Game Or Any Other Game ..

And How Some Can Say This Game Is Dead Is Beyond Me ..

So Many Mods Avaliable And Still Being Made ...

Ive Only Had This Game A Few Weeks But Except For The Way It End,s Im 100% Happy With It

And Will Continue To Play It ..

If Fallout 3 is dead, which it is not, then the console killed it. Fallout is a PC game and will always be a gem in the PC archives. It became watered down and made easier because 1st person shooters don't belong on consoles with shitty controls. 1st person shooters on PC will always own consoles. I heard many say Fallout 3 was meant to use the capabilities of the PS3. That was a mistake. ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU CAN'T MOD CONSOLES.

Microsoft Live on the other hand is meant to appeal to console gamers with rewards and perks if you subscribe and play and pay more for special features. Console gamers are really taking it up the ass for something they should be getting free. It's very much like a donkey following the carrot attached to the stick, donkies being the console gamer. PC gamers shouldn't give two shits about Microsoft Live and should ignore the perks and wooptie f*#@in doo awards you get on live. Console multiplay capabilities of today equal the capabilities Doom had back in 1995. Console gamers should stay in their split screen hell while we relish the multiplay capabilities of 50+ players in a game at one time.

It is the game companies cow towing to the crapulence of the console that is watering down our classic games. MODDERS! Stay strong men! We have work to do!

So...

Is this game dead or what? I haven't played it since before the Live! release of Anchorage (which I refuse to buy). As a PC gamer the Live! tie-in instantly killed my enthusiasm for the game. I've gone as far as I can in the game and since the G.E.C.K. isn't really a true modding tool, I'm done. FO3 is dead to me.

Looks like there hasn't been a new post on Fallout3nexus since January either. Dead, I say.

Bethesda shot themselves in the foot as far as the PC version of the game is concerned. I so wanted to keep playing expansions and watch the world grow. Now... no.

It makes me sad.

How is G.E.C.K not a modding tool? Also just ignore or delete the Live! part, it doesn't change anything in my opinion. Who gives a rats ass about Bethesda f*cking up? Won't stop me from playing the game, I just stick to mods.

The only thing that annoys me is that I want combat armor with the sleeves, but every modification has to have OpA which annoys the crap outta me.

I suppose if you have disconnected your internet and live in a hermits hut on the prairies since january then yes, you wont have seen any new posts on FO3nexus.

Either that or maybe nobody told you you have to hit 'Refresh' in your browser to see the new posts, its not Gmail live-streaming feeds ya know :)

WTF does everyone have against Games for Windows Live? Its not changing the experience. If anything, its more fun to play through the game and be awarded for doing things. And how did the console kill it? Its the same game. Talk about biases.

I'll just go from my POV on it for 1, 2 & 3

1 ) We are not given an option to not have it install with the game which means I had to copy the Fallout 3 disc to my HD so I could install it G4WL-free because it's a....

2 ) Broadband only service & I am on dial-up.

3 ) I also do not appreciate it being installed via the game patches either.

G4WL wouldn't be almost universally despised if was optional, offered choices (be good to get the DLC in the same language of the installed game), didn't make the game unstable, didn't hide the downloaded DLC, was functional in all regions that got the game & if it used money.

I think I'll wait for a compilation disc as I don't condone piracy
