Crbnfan99
Well i don't know if this goes here so here it goes I downloaded the G.E.C.K. off of the main page and i installed it and everything but i can't find it. Is it the one in game or is it a program. I have it saved but every time i open it it just gives me the modify, repair, or remove options so any help on this is very appreciated thanks
Skotte
The GECK that you installed is an editor for Fallout 3 & it's executable (GECK.exe) should be in your Fallout 3 installation folder. The options you list sound like the installer options & geck needs to be installed to the Fallout 3 folder for it to work
Crbnfan99
Ok well i got it to work but now how do i make my mods go into the game i have some good ones but i dont know how to make them work.
Skotte
You need to "activate" them in a launcher while the default launcher does work though has some bugs I'd recommend using FOMM
Crbnfan99
Yes i have FOMM but what do i do to activate them? i have them and everything but cant find them or activate them
Skotte
So you're not seeing any .esm/.esp files in FOMM? I gotta ask, Are you you using Vista & did you install the game under "program files"?
Crbnfan99
No i can see the files and stuff do you check the box next to them to activate them also i am using vista and i think i installed it to program files
Skotte
yep, just check the box & they should work. the reason I asked about you os is that I've heard that Vista hates things being altered in Program files like not letting mods to be installed there.* I use Vista as well but I haven't installed my games in the default place for a long time * Not to scare you, just letting you know what can happen
