Michael The Wise
I have an Xbox, and have Morrowind GOTY edition... Am I able to continue here? Is the Xbox version identical to the PC version? I would have bought the game for the PC, but my system isn't strong enough... My question is... I have done a few things to start my game Gave Fargoth his ring back Joined the Thieves Guild Found the names of the people to kill in the "Bloodbath" And a few other minor things... I feel like I'm walking aimlessly, and getting sidetracked by other quests and jobs on the side...etc... I know it's an open ended game, but is there a course to start on from the beginning, to keep on track, and not be to bogged down with different tasks to be able to enjoy the game to it's full potential...? I mean...now I'm beginning to grasp just how enormous this game really is... I don't want a walkthrough...just some advice or tips to help me... Thanks in advance :)
Adras
You can start the main quest, do any sort of faction quests or you can just go around and looting bandit caves and burial tombs. YOu can really do anything you want. I personally have never done the main quest because other faction quests keep me busy all the time.
DreamOfTheRood
The main quest starts by talking to Caius Cosades in Balmora. Of course, you have to first find Caius Cosades, which is the game's first challenge. In order to talk to the big CC, you have to talk to a gentleman at the Balmora Thieve's Guild. He'll tell you what you want to know. Check your journal, and make sure you have the information that a gentlman in Seyda Neen gave to you to give to Caius. After that, you'll be set on the main quest, but, generally, Caius will tell you to go get some experience in the world. You've got a good start on that by joining the Thieve's Guild. Maquissar
After that, you'll be set on the main quest, but, generally, Caius will tell you to go get some experience in the world. You've got a good start on that by joining the Thieve's Guild. Or the Fighters' guild. Or the Mages' guild. Or the Imperial Cult. Or the Imperial Legion. Or House Redoran. Or House Hlaalu. Or House Telvanni. Or the Morag Tong. Or you can just freelance. Loot graves. Kill bandits. Gather herbs. Explore. Explore. Explore. The point of Morrowind is to be able to do what you want, in your own times. Don't rush through the game, don't kill everyone you see, don't cheat, don't have becoming an uber character as your only goal... savour it slowly. Michael The Wise
Thanks so much everyone... I have got myself regrouped, and have started to see things fall into place as I go... I think my problem was that I had tried to travel to Vivec to quickly, and had jumped ahead a little to far...but as you all know, that can tend to happen really quick considering all that there is to do in Morrowind...hehehe I have completed a handful of quests now, have bought better armor...and I'm going to Arkngthand to retrieve the little box (with designs on it)... The only thing I am somewhat torn between is that I have joined the Thieves Guild, and now the Fighters Guild...but they have made some negative comments about each other...and the TG says the FG is associated to the Comonna Tongu... But the Fighters Guild pays pretty good coin for completed quest...so...decisions decisions... What an awesome game so far though...The best I've played yet...such an involved story... Malchik
SOME members of the fighters guild are associated with the Camonna Tong. That is part of the fun of working with them.
