greekrage
Im busting my brain trying to figure out why these are here and dont even show up in the cell items list..This is obviously Egret tours..All other decals were fine (visible markers ).Its like its the same type of stain .Any chance that its missing from a id list and markers are invisible for some reason ?Is this a bug ? niston
They're probably not decals, but landscape texture errors. It happens when there's already the max number of possible textures in a quad and you try to paint with yet another texture on the landscape quad. It'll make a dark spot, instead of painting with the selected texture. The limit is very low (I think 4 or 5 textures max) and it often becomes a problem for me when editing/retexturing landscape. For reasons unknown to me, Beth apparently can sometimes use more than the limit we get, but I have no idea why or how. Try selecting the asphalt texture and paint over these spots. If you have the landscape editor open, you can also click in the render window and press I.That will bring up a window showing the quads of the current cell, listing all textures used in them. You can replace/remove textures in quads, from that window.
greekrage
That whole area was redone with asphalt that was already in their palette list for the cell/quad...Just checked again and removed all textures in the quad except one...its still there.Im guessing its a texture bug.... niston
You can't paint over it with the Asphalt texture? Hmm... Perhaps it's vertex colors then? Not sure, but I think at least in Skyrim you can paint vertex colors on the landscape. No idea about FO4 tho. I know Kingsport Lighthouse has some weird dark spots on the hill there that can't be painted over with landscape texture either. But they look slightly different to your screenshot. But yeah... Might just be vertex colors indeed.
niston
Ah, it's in the landscape editor: When "Edit Colors" is checked: - Left mouse button to paint with selected color- Right mouse button to erase
