Strange problem with saving

I have a weird problem. When I go near Canterbury commons and everywhere on the northern part of that map, my game crashes to desktop if I save, both with the quicksave, and using the menu (and if I enter a building where it autosaves).

 

I can save without any problems anywhere else, basically up to inbetween the corvega factory and canterbury.

Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know of a workaround?

Weird. Sounds like it may be a way that the positions of things are being saved when you're in that area. Just a shot in the dark there, but a shot in the dark is better than no shot at all.
