Load order help

This is the third time I've tried to build a new game and as usual it's screwed up. Not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong.

 

Problems are just general annoyances, long load times, weird AI and enemy behavior, freezes and crashes. Here's my load order, any help appreciated.

Using nvse, nvsr and fnv4gb. Only .ini tweaks are bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2. I've got 6 cores but I've been told setting it to anything other than 2 is a bad idea.

i've set it to 4 and no problems. Anyway: Kudos for using a merged patch.

 

I'm blaming monster mod here. Along with awop (even with the patch), pn and some other stuff it causes weird ai behavior (for example, deathclaws attacked me 1 time then ran away, same with other npcs)

 

also i'm not sure your LO is BOSS'ified (arranged by boss tool) but you should run the tool, looks a bit messy. You should also use one of the perfomance mods (like performance of the gods, cleaner vegas or clean-deluxe). I also recommend you to try running without v-synch, and low-medium settings. A bashed patch will help you too.

 

EDIT: oh, you're the guy who made niner, i love you. (literally). Like Miidian13 said, warzones should be handled with care, though i never had a problem with it.

Set it to 4 cores. I use Mo Mod with AWOP, (rumble zones are great) but altered the level lists, and spawns. It's stable in mine, but without the changes sometimes the spawn rates combined with other mods can cause it to crash. Warzones I've heard can cause instability, combined with other mods. Though I've never used it myself.

 

That's a lot of guns you have there. :tongue:

Sure is, I wish Mil would release a combined pack already.

 

The whole thing is organized with BOSS, with slight tweaking by me. It kept putting some PN/EVE patches before the actual mods for some reason.

 

Running on low/medium changes nothing. I have a gxt 650 ti, amd 6300 with 6 cores and 8GB ram. I don't think it's a performance issue, I sit at 45/60fps with NMC, ojo and nskies (I got rid of all of them trying to find the problem though. Didn't do anything.)

 

I thought the problem mods might be AWOP, momod and warzones. It's my first time using any of them.

 

Very first problem I ran into (outside stuttering) was with Sunny Smiles. After leaving the Saloon, she'd stop. Wouldn't walk to the shooting range.

 

Disabled AWOP, momod and warzones, and it fixed the problem.

Re-enabled AWOP and momod, and it still worked.

Then on a whim, I disabled New Vegas Redesigned 2 (which I've since removed) seen as it was the only mod I could think of that might mess with NPCs. I re-enabled warzones, and it worked.

 

So, it seemed the problem had something to do with NV redesigned and warzones conflicting, why warzones would touch essential vanilla NPCs I have no idea.

 

I could get rid of warzones. It's not absolutely necessary, though I'd like to use it.

 

I think the problems extend further than that though.

Mo mod will cause some crashing with other mods that add spawns. I altered mine, but still get the occasional crashes (during the feral onslaught in Inheritance, for instance).

 

Also merge patches are a must, but they don't get rid of all the conflicts (quests, package, scripts, cell, worldspace, etc.). I don't know if you've checked it through FNVEdit, but that can give you a general rundown of what's causing problems with what.

 

Never used NVR, too many conflicts with what I use.

Edit: Saw your post on your mod page. Yeah.. BOSS will only sort what it recognizes, those it doesn't fall to users knowledge.

Well, I'm not denying hardware failure or driver problems at this point then. It's a possibility, for some reason TTW is unplayable for me. Freezes when changing cells, and it always freezes for like 15 - 20 seconds on a quicksave or autosave. Even CASM saves, actually, which is odd.

 

What's the main difference between standalone NV and TTW? What does TTW demand more of? Might help me find the cause of the problem.

Yeah, gotta explore all possibilities. Seems odd it's your rig tho, after all it's better than mine and i can run everything very smooth 30fps (which is ok for me)

 

Well, i've looked into TTW Faq and such, and it does not touch fnv files, according to mod authors. They say, however, that 4gb enabler is almost a must , and that you should not use:

 

-MMUE; NVEC; Pip-boy readius (in certain instances); custom races. I'd recommend that you give a look into TTW FAQ for a deeper guide.
