Adding the gloves to the body armor

Just curious why are the gloves of some outfits separated from the armor body in completely different nifs? And would adding the gloves cause an issue? Would all I need to do is import the gloves into the armor (rigged etc) and export all as a new nif? (I assume importing the gloves would carry over the rigging.

I can't recall 100% but Dragbody has explained this to me before, if I recall correctly it has something to do with the finger bones being rigged to the skeleton and something or other so they are equipped to the player when he puts the outfit on through the -Armor Addon window. So yeah separate the gloves from the body.
