Adding a new game that clearly has mods

So I'm specifically trying to get this to work for "Tales of Arise" but it's also a general question.

 

I saw the page for adding a game not on the mannaged list from scratch. But it also said 100s of games are supported and the list of mannagable games within the app is not that large. Also the fact there is clearly a mod page for Tales of Arise says SOMEONE should have already made the files needed for Vortex to do it's thing.

 

So what am I missing? is there a place I need to go to manually download what Vortex needs?

 

I made a similar post in the Arise sub section but decided this was probably a better place for it. I didn't see a delete option though so either a mod can delete the other one or just let it slowly fade away.

vortex is a mod manager.

it manages mods.

game-specific extensions are written that allow vortex to manage mods for specific games.

if you want to use vortex to manage mods for a game, an extension for that game has to exist. if it doesn't exist then vortex cannot manage mods for that game. you then have two choices.

 

1. make an extension for the game - this is fully documented and there are literally dozens of games managed by vortex this way.

2. wait for someone to make an extension.
