Data files not showing in File Explorer, any ideas how to fix?

Recently I've noticed that any data files I've had for Skyrim or Fallout have gone completely hidden, particularly file types of those that'd be in the /data/ section of the files most notably. Even moreso, these files won't show up anywhere on my PC. I've restarted File Explorer numerous times, tried revealing them with 'show hidden files' to know avail, and i'd like to not have to completely restart the PC in order to fix. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Do you mean Steam>steamapps>common>Skyrim Special Edition>Data?

 

I am not exactly sure what files you are referring to.

Yes, that's precisely what I'm wondering about. It worked completely fine before but those files seemingly vanished out of the blue one day.

When you say "restart PC" do you mean "reinstall Windows"?

Or do you mean "turn it off and back on"?

 

 

Are you using a mod manager with a profile system? Some mod managers use a virtual file system and as such may cause files installed through them to not appear within the game folder.

Ah, that must be why. Beyond that, any of the file types that would be hidden by those such as files to change bodies in bodyslide or even things such as the meshes for outfits just do not appear anymore. Thank you for the info, though.
