SpamPTRS
Hello all. I am currently trying to figure out how to edit the Dart Guns string mesh in Blender but am having trouble finding the right export settings so it can maintain its draw-back animation. Whenever I export the string normally, it cannot animate and is missing several of the entries in Nifskope that the vanilla string has which, I assume, controls the animation. If anyone can advise me on how to edit the mesh of the string in Blender and maintain the animation in Nifskope, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! M48A5
Which version of Blender? When you import the mesh, do you have the setting enabled to import the animations? When you export the mesh, do you have the setting enabled to export the animations? SpamPTRS
I'm on Blender version 2.49.2 and I have enabled to import and export the animations; no dice, unfortunately.
SpamPTRS
Figured it out, the model exported from Blender was missing the NiFloatData from the original string, copy pasting those values into the new model fixed it.
SpamPTRS
Nevermind, altering the mesh in edit mode in any way will not allow it to have animations in Nifskope even if NiFloatData is applied.
SpamPTRS
(Hopefully) final correction: I had to adjust both shape keys for both the pulled back and loosed strings in order to export and rig properly, it is all working as of now.
