Exnem and Bab in the same mod? Racial variation

Feedback would be appreciated from some of the more skilled modders, especially when it comes to creating races. I have been racking my brain trying to see if it is possible to have different races in a mod use different body meshes and textures.

 

For example, if a mod used Exnem EC as the body model, could that same mod contain a race that used BAB, or UFF?

 

I have never seen this done. I think it is not as simple as redirecting the texture paths in the Body Data screen. I have tried that without success. I believe I need to know how to redirect a race to a different mesh folder, one that contained the BAB meshes. That way the meshes would match the textures.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Or if I could be directed to a good tutorial. The race creation tutorials in the Construction Set Wiki do not answer this question.
