Can't restore to vanilla

Hey guys, so I went crazy with mods recently and really messed up my game. My goal was just to completely start over and play for awhile with NO mods until I get into a point in the game that I can make a save, and put it on a USB so I know I will never have to start over past that point again.

So I deleted everything Skyrim on my PC, and even uninstalled and reinstalled steam.

Once I got everything installed ... I still have my old corrupted save games!? WTF!?

How do I make myself have a fresh start?

well, start a new game and delete your old saves?

You can not un-corrupt a saved game, no matter what. In fact, uninstalling a bunch of mods just makes them MORE corrupt.

For Windows 7/8, look in Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves and delete everything in the folder (or just the saves you feel you need to delete).

This is what I had to do:

1. Start Skyrim (Doesn't matter if mods or vanilla)
2. At the start screen go to load
3. Delete all saves that show up (autosaves included of course)
4. Quit to desktop
5. Then go to "Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves" (as DeltaWulf stated)
6. Delete all files or just the whole folder would be better
7. If you are using a save profile manager (Skyrim Configurator or Skyrim Character Manager) Delete all files those programs make in the "Documents\My Games\Skyrim"
8. To get a true clean install, delete "Documents\My Games\Skyrim" folder completely and ensure the folder "Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim" is empty or deleted
9. Reinstall via Steam

I'm curious, by chance did you uninstall the game, or just Steam?
