MASTER101
Ok This is really irritating me...My data folder has no freaking textures of meshes folders, and the other folders it has are incomplete I.E: They only have a few things in them, no where near all the files they are supposed to.However I have a bunch of Batch files in there that are called Meshes Textures, etc. Now my game runs fine, and as long as I use mods that don't mess with anything requiring a folder, IE: I can use the ESM/ESP and nothing else. I tried simply creating new folders, and no luck, the games doesn't read 'em and I end up with big red "!" marks or the textures/whatever simply revert to a vanella in game version. So what the hell is up with this. I havn't heard of anyone else having this problem and it sucks. Big time. My computer is more then capable of running the game at highest quality, and I'm running Vista. PLEASEAny help would be awesome. I really want to play with some cool cosmetic mods, and right now any sense of immersion is being screwed over massively... Thanks in advance, hope someone replies really soon. ~Me. Skotte
More info is required does your computer allow you to add Textures" & "meshes" folders along with their contents to the "Data" folder? Do you use FOMM?
MASTER101
Yeah I can create new folder, but the game doesn't seem to recognize anything I put in them. It only recognizes the ESM/ESP files. Yup, I just packed up all of my mods with the FOMM and activated them all, and the game seemed to be working fine, although i noticed some of the textures that were supposed be changed had instead reverted to the vanella textures, but the blasted "!" Had gone away, so i figured, what the hell it's working right? Well now I exited the Vault walked around for a bit and everything worked fine but the second I entered Megaton The blasted game crashed... Why can't this modding thing be nice and simple like In KOTOR??? Just place the mods in the mod folder and that's it. Jeesh...
MASTER101
Ok ok ok... It's working again changed the load order, messed around with it, and it's working again...But i'm not sure if all the textures are working, i'll post again once i know for sure.Cheers,~Me. Smosh
Have you done the Archive Invalidation for the new textures? They won't show without you doing this.
MASTER101
I used the archive invalidation thingy... But No I didn't manually add the lines into the TXT file, I assumed the program would do it for me, Isn't that what it's for?

You are correct in your assumption but as you hadn't said that you were using it in your previous posts the question had to be asked to help troubleshoot your problem. MASTER101
Yeah thanks, I probably should have stated that I used it in my first post sorry. And really thanks for all the help. ^_^ Ok, The textures are really strange now... Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't? Some of the work, and some of them work on other characters. (If a give a retextured coat to an NPC he will wear the retextured version, but if my character puts it on it reverts to the vanella version. Blast... My game is installed in Program files... I don't suppose that could be the problem? (I am running everything with full administrator approval...)

I haven't come across a problem quite like yours but I wouldn't be to surprised if it in someway had something to do with "Program files"
