stevmjon
howdy i have just downloaded skyrim v anniversary edition, and i want to turn default screenshots (printscreen key) to off, as i have other software i use for screenshots. default just fills up the steamapps, common, skyrim folder with images, and always delays (screen freezes for a second) when screenshot taken. my other software has no screen freeze delay. what i changed was 2 files: skyrim_default.ini > [display] bAllowScreenshot=0 file found in steamlibrary>steamapps>common>skyrim special edition skyrim.ini > [display] bAllowScreenshot=0 file found in users>me>documents>my games>skyrim special edition game is still taking default screenshots? i can't find any in-game setting to adjust either. i could just change the prtscr key setting in the software i am using to something else, but i have been using prtscr key for so many years now, pressing it is automatic. don't even need to look at the keyboard. thanks in advance for any advice on fixing this, stevmjon
IsharaMeradin
Are you using a mod manager with a profile system? If yes, there may be a separate instance of the skyrim.ini file stored there. Also revert any changes made to skyrim_default.ini. The game does not use this file for normal use. It is used as an initial base whenever the game needs to build the skyrim.ini file. stevmjon
hey isharameradin i don't have any mods installed, nor have a mod manager. i just had the default skyrim v se edition installed, then updated this to the anniversary edition.i assume one of the mods the anniversary edition comes with may be the culprit. i don't know how to look at these mods either. i may just have to assign a different key to take screenshots, and just get used to it i guess. thanks for your reply, stevmjon

IsharaMeradin
All mods go in the Data folder with the exception of things like SKSE, ENB, etc i.e.Steam > Steamapps > common > Skyrim Special Edition > Data > [mods go here]
