grandpauj1
I am all new to this MOD thing. I was trying to build a vault, Like most beginners, All was going good till I got to the "cluttering" part. I had some stuff in there and it was all good. I tried to place a bed in a room and it just disappeared (The bed not the room). When I tried to put another bed in it crashed to the desktop. I have tried to load other cells and they work fine, But every time I try to open mine it crashes. is there a way I can get it back or do I have to start over. prensa
grandpauj1 - Hello!"I tried to place a bed in a room and it just disappeared"Not sure what happened there, was it a vanilla bed model or a custom from amother source? If it was custom it's possible it's a faulty mesh."is there a way I can get it back or do I have to start over."GECK makes automatic backups of your file, try going back to an older version before that last edit that caused the CTD.The backups will be in your:Fallout 3\Data\BackupMyMod.esp.6.bakRemove the .6.bak or whatever number is there to leave:MyMod.espYou may have several in there, you can tell the latest by the number or Date Modified.Drop that into your Data folder & see if it loads.Hope this helps!Prensa
grandpauj1
Awesome. Worked like a charm. I tried it with esp.5 (the last one) and it didn't work, So I figured might as well try .4 and it worked. It was a heart bed. I changed it by going to edit, Changed ID to AAABedHeart and the name to Heart Bed, Unchecked Quest Item then saved and Create new item. I have done this before in a house I started But had trouble linking the doors so I just dumped it. Also is there a link to "Connecting the doors for dummies". Thanks Again
prensa
grandpauj1 - Hello!"Awesome. Worked like a charm."Great! Glad to have helped! :)"Also is there a link to "Connecting the doors for dummies"."There is, the GECK official site has excellent, clear instructions here:http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Bethsoft_Tutorial_Finalize_and_Connect#Connecting_the_DoorsActually connecting doors is easy, the thing people often forget is the "Finalizing" of the navmesh on both sides so that the door link is useable by NPC's.It's all covered on that page.Prensa
