  1. LOL, this post is almost 2 1/2 years old! But as you can see there are no other reply's so........
  2. Sorry for major delay, I kinda checked it out and will give it a bit more time once I have some free time. Looks like there is a lot more work involved then I thought there would be. Thanks again (-:
  3. Ok, I want to first thank you guy's for the help. I watched the tutorial and it was very helpful. I looked up the software and about craped on my self!! That is off the hook. Think I will just have to live with out it. I know I can get a download for free, but to me it is dishonest for me to say I am a student and I am not, just to get it for free. I did download "Blender", but it is black and white next to Autodesk. Does any buddy know of a Blender for dummy's type tutorial like the one above. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks for the reply's. @ Willette8, at the risk of sounding like a total noob, I have no clue how to link the armors to this reply. I tried to put up some "modifications" I did in Photoshop but I kept getting an error message "This upload failed" I have attached photos to post/reply's before so...... the pics are .jpg and the they are like 600 KB so not sure why I can't put them up. Will try to figure that out this evening. @ OTheara, thanks for the link (sure wish I knew how to do that) I kinda looked at it, will check it out some more this evening. Thanks again for the help.
  5. Does 32 views and no reply's mean it can't be done? Or if it can, just point me in the direction of a Nifskope for dummies tutorial. Thanks
  6. Hi all, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to separate a one piece armor in to two or more pieces. At this particular time, the ones of interest are Hentai Void, Elite Rogue and the modded version of Nordic Carved armor (don't recall the name off hand) so I can say use the top of the Void armor with something else or the bottom of the Rogue armor with say Carved armor top. I did try doing a search, but kinda had trouble trying to word it. I did find an article that said to open the file up in Nefskope, delete the piece you don't want and save the rest as a new file. And yes it was about that vague. I downloaded Nifskope, and thought I would give it a try but........ I think he left out the part about.. well a whole bunch of the process. I am totally new to the Nifskope tool so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance (o:
  7. Well I got it (sort of) playable anyhow. My screen on the Pip boy is still looking shi**y but the rest looks a lot better. I used the "Brightness Bug Fix" (link above) and it seems to be doing good. I did some fast traveling and seems good everywhere. Playing @ 70 FPS on ultra. Any clues on the PipBoy? Thanks a bunch, you guys are awesome.
  8. @ Fkemman11 I tried the command "teofis" and as far as the brightness problem goes it worked fricken awesome. One down fall is it also has the same effect as the command "tm" I have no compass, no crosshair, HP bar... nothing. I have Riva tuner for the FPS display and that's the only thing left. Will try the mod (thanks for fixing it) tomorrow. @ bill8872, they are both 4gb cards. And as far as getting the SLI working, I went to SLI in June and have had no problem with it until now. I have played FO4, FONV and Skyrim all Bethesda games with no issues. I still play Skyrim (probably the best game ever made IMO) on a daily basis and it loves the s#*! out of SLI. I play FONV on occasion, also with no issue. I did look at graphics cards while walking thru BestBuy the other day and gave it some real serious thought but.........not in the budget right now )o:. Maybe that would be a good way to blow my tax return. Again thanks for the help, you guys rock
  9. Thanks for the reply's, I have been messing with a few things this morning. I think what is the most puzzling is that I have had this game from day one and the game has always played fine. Any how I got the FPS at 30 thing fixed. I went to NVidia control panel and turned "triple buffering" on, set "maximum pre-rendered frames" to 1 and turned "Vertical sync" on. Don't recall where I seen this but it worked. Also another thing I did notice is the load screen looks great (not sure if that matters but...) it's just in game. I did travel to a few places to see if it was different but it is the same everywhere. I tried it with the SLI disabled and enabled, on ultra high al the way down to low. I turned down the brightness of the monitor from 75 to 50 to 25, nope. I even messed with the contrast. Turned "Godrays" off (it was on) and didn't help )o: My refresh rate is set to 144. I even set my CPU back to 4.0GHz, had it set at 4.5. @ Fkemman11, I could not get the link to work. and @ LobbyUP not sure what you mean by "Adapted" I looked in the control panel and did not see it, not saying it's not there, just I didn't see it. Will keep plugging away at it till I get it fixed, love the game so would love to get it fixed . Thanks again for the help and any future help.
  10. Hi all, I'm sure this is probably on this forum but not really sure how to describe it other than it looks like sh**. I haven't played FO4 awhile and went to play it today. I can not get over 30 FPS (my monitor is a 144) and it like I said looks horrible. I am also playing Skyrim locked at 60 FPS and GTA5 at around 90 FPS and they are both working and looking fine. I have not gotten in to the .Ini files as I don't want to screw stuff up. Any ideas?? MoBo-Asus z170-a CPU- i7-6700k GPU GTX 960 SC x2 Sli RAM- 32 Gb DDR4 2400
  11. WOW 34 views and not one reply. That would lead me to believe that 1) it doesn't exist, 2) no one else knows or 3) no cares to reply! Kinda sucks either way. If it no longer is available I would think some one could have taken 5 seconds to say so. Sad
  12. I have been using the UNP body for ever and have decided to give the CBBE a try (different armors) for a change of pace. Aradia Kato is one of my all time favorites. I am aware of the fact that it is (for some reason) not available on the nexus. Is there any where else I could download the CBBE version of this mod? This will not be a "deal breaker" for me, but it would be nice to have. Thanks a bunch for any help.
  13. I am indeed, switched to injector version and it's working great. Thanks a bunch. I am now your pal for life!!!
  14. Hi all, I think I am missing something here. I recently installed EVGA Precision and started getting a CTD with Skyrim. It happens after the "Continue from last saved game". I have tried to load previous saves and it does the same thing. When I turn it off (EVGA Precision) everything works fine. I have also tried it (with EVGA Precision on) with Black ops 2 and 3, FONV, FO4 and GTA5 and they all work fine. Is there some setting I need to do in Skyrim? I also have tried Skyrim with SLI enabled and disabled. I like having the GPU temps displayed while I am playing, so would really love to get this figured out. Specs for my Machine are; I7 6700k (OC to 4.5) Asus Z170-a Corsair Vengeance 32Gb DDR4 (4x8) 2X) EVGA GTX 960sc 4Gb SLI EVGA 850 gold PSU Any help would be great, Thanks in advance. (0:
  15. Hay all, well I'm back with the next project and questions ;) I have decided to go with water cooling, so of course I have a few more things I would love to get advice on. I ordered a Thermaltake X71 case (because I like the modular aspect) and there are three possible locations for the radiator. Top, bottom or front. Is any location better then the other? Putting it in front, will that screw up the air flow? Will putting it on the bottom create more heat that will rise into the case? The reason I ask is because without moving the tower to a whole new location the top of it will be about three inch's from a shelf and not sure if that will "disrupt" the airflow. The cooling kit I got is a Thermaltake Pacific DIY LCS R360. Read a lot of good reviews about it and for the most part they said it isn't "that hard" to put together. And yes, the fact that it will look cool as F^*# was part of the decision :0) Not sure what to expect as far power consumption goes, right now have a EVGA 850 GS, but have a year old 650w in my "got way too much crap" closet and there is room for two PSU in the case, but would rather not put one in the windowed part of the case if I don't have to. Thanks in advance for any advice/help
  16. Thanks for the reply. Checked out the link and still (unless I am missing something) did not find an answer. What is frustrating is I am pretty sure I am not the only person running SLI and using an ENB, so the question, at one point must have been brought up before. Anybody????????
  17. Hi, was trying to figure out the best setting to run an ENB at, did some searching but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I did find a few places that said to take the VRAM and add it to the RAM, then subtract 6GB for the running of the OS, game and any other thing running in the background. So here is the question, I am running 2) GTX960 SC SLI with 4GB of VRAM each and 32GB of DDR4. So do I use 4+4+32 (adding both cards) or just 4+32? Right now I am just running on what ever it was set at (not even sure where what ever I am supposed to set is yet, but one bridge at a time) with the ENBseries and Vogue ENB. Hoping to get this set and start adding more. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
  18. Thanks for all the help, made my mark (for now) 4.5GHz with 1.23v, CPU temp 73c, MoBO @ 39c. :o) I messed with the fan speeds a bit. Set the CPU fans at 50% @ 30c, 77% @ 52c and 98% @ 60c. Hoping to start cooling BEFORE it got hot! Might change the 50% @ 30c down a little to like 40% @ 30c but.......as they say, if it ain't broke...A bit louder now but not too bad. My house is usually around 80 degrees inside even with the A/C on, it's an older house, so that is probably a factor too. Again thanks for the help and the encouraging knowledge. You rock dude. Now if I can just figure out why my G drive disappeared????? But that's another story.
  19. Ok, got the as5 today (and my SLI bridge) got it apart, all cleaned up with alcohol (70% is all I had) and re-assembled and took her for a spin. Now another question. On Aida64 it reads out the temps for Core #1, #2, #3 and #4 do I use the Highest temp as the mark? Do I take an average? The reason I ask is at one point I had 56c on core #1 and 70c on core #2. would that be 70c or more like 63c? because that would obviously make a huge difference in the numbers I have been giving you. Going to mess with it a bit more, (between doing paperwork) right now at 4.2 and 1.3v temps looking good with all cores at or below 70c (except the occasional 77/78 momentary spike). Can't tell you how much I appreciate the help, lot more to overclocking then I thought.
  20. Not a prayer in hell I am getting a water cooler in my case!!!!! My case is a thermaltake versa h22, a full size case but no where as big as the ones I was looking at. My case is like 17" tall and about 7 1/4" wide. My desk has a shelf built on it that is around 18 1/2" of opening. The shortest case I could find (that is my price range, And not some short, fat, ugly ass case) is more like 19 1/4" if memory serves me right. Well hopefully the 212 will work for me at say 44/45. Oh and thanks for the compliment on my machine, first build, and very happy with it, but would not have been possible without all the help I got from the folks right here on the Nexus, willing to help me with advice, links and so on. Thanks again, when I get the AS5 and try it out, will update. Peace
  21. Checked out that video and the other S..... load of them on the same page, seems like the "Pea" or the "X" method is the winner for the most part. Going to order that stuff tonight. Think I will try it putting the Hyper 212 back on and see how that works. Gives me a bit of time to see what I can find out about the whole water cooling thing. Might not have enough room to mount a radiator on the top as I had planned, think the RAM might get in the way. Well I will cross 1 bridge at a time (0; Thanks a ton for all the help.
  22. Thanks, I am kicking my self for doing it now. I ordered the CPU $350 and the PSU $130, but not the $5 paste )o: haven't got around to ordering it yet, been hella busy with work ( self employment does have it's draw backs) but hope to get to it tonight. Where I live you just can't run to the local Fry's or anything like that, it has to be ordered. @ LeddBate like you said "This should be obvious" I knew this but if someone down the road has this issue and reads this, they may not. Using it after it was sitting around that long was just being anxious, Kinda stupid, but anxious to get it installed and running. @HalloweenWeed think I will get the AS 5, pretty sure I have used that before, name rings a bell. as far as the amount to use....I have seen videos with "the grain of rice" method and seen some where they say ANY contact between the two surfaces will make real bad s#*! happen. I have seen it applied with a small paint brush and have seen once the cooler is on the Cpu to move it slowly to disperse the paste evenly. not saying your wrong, not saying they are wrong. saying.......will do a little more research on this, will take a few day's to get the stuff anyhow. Thanks again. PS. LeddBate "If you want to test your spouse's patience, Play Skyrim" that is some funny s#*!
  23. Thanks for the reply, kinda checked out those links, looks like there could be some very helpful info there. Will get a better look when I have a bit more time. Another thing that crossed my mind, the thermal paste I used looked a bit funky, (it is probably 6 or 7 years old, opened and resealed) Like it was not.....creamy???at a loss for any other word. Going to order a new SLI bridge tonight (tired of looking at that crappy ass, cheap looking flexible one from Asus) so will order a tube of paste, pull the 212 off and clean it up (with alcohol) put on some new stuff and see how that works. Not really looking for 4.7 or nothing, would be happy with 4.4 happier with 4.5, but happy with 4.4 (0: Oh and just because...... Gel, paste or grease??? which one works better or is it just a preference thing? I have only used paste (not like I have done it hundreds of times) Thanks again for the help, You guy's rock
  24. Thanks for the reply. Ok so this morning was kinda messing with it again after seeing your reply and the 73 degrees part. So I went in and changed every thing back to default, recalibrated the fans to optimize, ran the test again and at 4.000 was at some points above 75c. Now to make sure I am on the right page here, There are temps for the "CPU" and temps for the "CPU Cores". which one am I supposed to be looking at? I will include a screenshot of my 4.00 test. My concern is if I am at 70+ at stock running speed, I will never get it to overclock!! Thanks again for the help
  25. First off, I know this is not a computer tech forum. Just thought I would throw that in before someone got ......you know. I just upgraded from a I5-6500 to a I7-6700k and a 650w PSU to a 850 so naturally I had to start messing around with the overclocking thing. Did do some research first as this is my first attempt at doing it. Right now I have a Hyper 212 evo with two fans (push/pull) and have it set at 4.2 GHz. Under stress with Aida64. it runs at about 70-80c @ 1.33v. If I try to bump it up to 4.3 it jumps up in to the 80-90c range, which from all I have read, that's too hot. So should I change my cooling to water or maybe a more efficient air cooler? Which would be better? In the price range of $100-$150 My Specs are as follows MoBo - Asus Z170-a CPU I7-6700k 4.0GHz GPU EVGA GTX960 SC 4gb X2 SLI PSU EVGA 850G RAM Corsair vengeance 2400MHz 32GB 4 x 8 C: SSD 240GB (OS) F: SSD 500GB (Storage and stuff) G: SSD M.2 500GB (games) I'm sure there is a bunch of info I left out, But if you reply and ask, I will do my best to answer. Thanks in advance (o:
