Crim, The Red Thunder
i am a member of house telvanni. (Who isnt? Theyre the coolest house on Vvardenfell, and whats not to like about 5000 year old sorcerors who dont give a damn about anyone or anything but their own kind? theyre just like me!!!!) I have been fast progressing (much further then ever before) through the main quest, and am trying to become nerevarine and hortator. I FINALLY got all the telvanni councils to give me their vote, except Aryon and Gothren (i was lazy and didnt want to head all the way to Tel Vos, give me a break already...) Aryon recommended that Gothren should be killed, since he would not give me my vote. Now, if i am trying to become Archmagister of House Telvanni, will killing Gothren have any negative impact on my progress? If its like the mages guild (or the imperial legion), i will have to kill him later on, and killing him now will stop me from become head of the Great House Telvanni. (LONG LIVE GREAT HOUSE TELVANNI!!!!) Can someone tell me if its possible to still rule house telvanni, but not 'break the link of prophecy', thus ending the main quest? Better yet, is there a PEACEFUL solution to getting Gothrens vote? (I doubt it... but still) (BTW, MAN am I BIASEDor what?)
Adras
FInish the House Telvanni Quests, become Archmagister, and kill him. If you get expelled, and havent been expelled before, then just make amends with someone.
Crim, The Red Thunder
So youre saying that i have to FINISH the house telvanni quest line, AND become archmagister, BEFORE i kill gothren? ouch...
Malchik
Your finishing the Telvanni quests (in so far as becoming Archmagister is concerned at any rate) involves you killing Gothren. It makes no difference to becoming Hortator (where you also have to kill him). In fact you can kill all the Telvanni councillors and declare yourself Hortator if that turns you on! Strange, strange people the Telvanni!
Crim, The Red Thunder
so i DONT have to resurrect him with the console when its time for me to become archmagister? YAY!!!! thanks a lot, it really helps... now i just have to finish the ashlander tribe quests... (Killing the erabinimsun camp is rewarding, what with all the unique items...) Malchik
Yes, and you don't need to surrender the items to complete the quest. If the disposition is high enough just talk to him.
pro.crow
as it says in the book "....Heck kill them all if you want to, then name yourself horator. Seriously, as long as your rep can stand the pressure, anything goes,. This is how the Telvanni settle there differences." not saying as though i would kill the one you get your orders from but yea,..... kill them they dont seem to care. And its a 5000 yr old tradition in just killing the one who stands in your way.
