CaptRavenous
Now, before I ask for help, I feel it is only fair I share the story behind this companion mod. This is my buddy, Fido. Here is a pic of him sleeping under my desk:http://imageshack.us/a/img560/7978/c7k4.jpgHe died August 1st, on his favourite part of my bed, on his favourite blanket, surrounded by those he loved; myself, my daughter, and my son (my wife was out at the grocery store, unfortunately). It was easily apparent he was glad to have us near. He was 15 and a half years old. He had been suffering from progressive kidney failure for about 6 months, and had a heart attack. He was quite active and relatively healthy, right up to the last two hours of his life. I had just purchased Skyrim: Legendary Edition a week previous to this. Fido was always near me when playing games, as far back as Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and all through Oblivion. The day after his death, I resolved to make a companion mod, in honour of the best buddy I've ever had. Now, he lives in my heart, as well as in Skyrim.http://imageshack.us/a/img836/8580/xd7f.jpgSo, that's the background story of my companion mod, now on to the only two annoyances I've encountered. 1. Sitting/laying down after passing through entrances. My only workaround has been to pull out a weapon or spells, which makes him get up and follow again immediately. How can I fix this?2. Conversation options becoming unselectable after a time, but happens constantly. My only workaround has been to quicksave, then reload, making convo options available again. Other than those two things, he works & fights wonderfully. Thank you in advance for any help.

Kevin0904
I also have some problems with animal followers, but it might be because of their quests in my case. Here is very good tutorial on how to make animal companions:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGszaPLobhg If you follow every step, your companion should probably work correctly. Cheers

CheersThat's the tutorial I used to make my companion. It doesn't solve the two slight problems I am having. Again, he fights, follows, and waits just fine. When my character goes through any entrance in the game (interior to exterior, or the other way around), he loads into the new area, then either sits, or lies down. If I do nothing, he will sit or lie there for about 10 seconds before getting up and resuming following my character. If I ready a spell or weapon, he gets up right away and follows. I just want to set him to NOT lie down or sit when loading into a new area. Also, his dialogue works fine, his commands work, but after a time when I open his dialogue box, his dialogue is there, but clicking on a dialogue choice won't work. If I quicksave, then reload, his dialogue choices work again. I have already watched two complete tutorials on making animal companions, neither of them had any information regarding these two problems.
