The Unanswerable Questions of Fallout 3

How come Fawkes sucks so much compared to Marcus?

Why do the Centaurs look different?

Why do we only encounter two intelligent Super Mutants?

How did Tenpenny survive so long without being overrun by Raiders?

Where's the tribals?

I believe Fawkes is way better than Marcus in terms of durability and weapon skills.

Cute, huh?

Accidents happen.

High skilled guards and top notch gear. Did I mentioned the gate and his constant sniping from balcony?

Killed by raider.

Now... don't forget this is NOT the Wasteland, is just a tiny part of if compared with F2. Hell, if it comes to think of it, all F3 "Capital Wasteland" is no bigger than area between NewReno and Broken Hills (Golgotha included).

My questions:

- Why your enemies never use a stimpack or food to heal themselves? Most SM have meat in inventory ffs.

- Why are only 2 kids in Megaton, both adopted and plenity of them in LL (and annoying like hell)?

- Where are those mutfruits come from? Only area with thress is Oasis and I did not saw a damn fruit there.

- Why allways the metal bars surrounding Mutant encampments are red on top resempling blood stains?

- If a super-mutt is made from a human exposed to FEV, a Behemot is made from a super-mutant exposed to FEV as well?

- What animal was mutaded to make a Centaurus? They have hands, so they cant be dogs.

- Why no one looted the stores? All are intact waiting for you to loot.

- Why even Capital Wasteland is basically a war zone, there is plenity of ammo?

- Why River City guards have such crappy weapons (10mm SMGs) and armor and the weapon stores sells Laser Rifles, miniguns, power armors and such? Who run that place ffs?

- Why even you load Cassadin with armors and weapons to a point he cant even move, the outcasts stll have same crappy equipment?

- How can Crowley see in your inventory and realise you took the power armor from Fort Constantine?

- Why Regulators carry a bounty for your name even you have very good Karma and allways been like this?

- Where are the cats?

I have more lol, but I post them later.

OK, the nuclear war happened in 2077, why is the music from the 1930's and 40's and everything else from the 50's and 60's, and when you go into a house on tranquility lane, you see a woman baking a pie with old clothing on and when you turn right, there is a computer and a robot. The cars are all high-tech but are styled from the 60's. That always made no sense to me.

In the fallout universe, the world as we know it stopped really socially developing in the 50's (though obviously other developments took their place.)

Another batch :)

- If the muties have lost .. uhm... certain organs, how do they pee or crap?

- Why I find "iguana on the stick", "squirel bits" and other kind of fresh food in locked containers inside of places where no one entered since war started? Btw, where are the iguanas and squirels?

- Why would someone living in a vault put 50 bottlecaps in his locked safe?

- Why 200 yrs old food have the same properties with fresh food?

- How comes all the meds you find are still good to use? (even bloodpacks)

- Why NPCs never drink water to heal, even when they are swiming in it?

- Why is Liberty Prime untargetable, unkickable, un... whatever?

- Why enclave troops appear only after a certain quest is done? What they were doing before?

- Why enclave never seem interested to actually DO things: occupy statlements, kill / indoctrinate population, wipe out BoS/outcasts, etc? They only set outposts and wait to be sniped.

- Why you can eat molerat, dog, lurk, ant even human meat but you can't eat deathclaw meat?

- Why you can't make Ice Cold Water as well? (don't tell me about that mod, I know about it :))

- Why a character with 10 perception and 100 small guns can't see what Tenypenny shoots?

Enough for today :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I got 2 questions then....

1: How are the residents of Vault 106 still alive after 200 years? Especially if they have

been subject to hallucinations which cause them to violently attack everything

2: How are the Garys still alive after 200 years??

Maybe THEY are hallucinations. The reason you lose health when you get attacked by them is that you are actually losing your sanity by becoming subject to the drug.

How are the Garys still alive after 200 years??

Because they're Highlanders and are immortal unless you blow their head off. When you kill them without blowing up their head, they're just pretending so you'll go away. Also, the reason they're still dead when you come back is because they know you're coming and play dead.

Why would someone living in a vault put 50 bottlecaps in his locked safe?

Because that's their valuable bottlecap collection! Quite a coincidence those are the currency in the Wastes, huh?

Lol, but still doesn't make sense about their apparent longevity. Garys are more believable as they are clones, but Vault 106 is just creepy...

Got a new one though, how does the woman at Arefu, who lives with her husband, know about pre-war traditions and such. You know the women in the first house who still thinks it pre-war times... How is the pre-war traditions passed on? We remember by reading old books that tell us what people did in the past, or nursery stories which are childrens version of traditional rites and such. The Capitol Wasteland has very few intact books, it's doubt every bit of social life was passed on in the few remaining books. Plus them seem to know a LOT about stories we have, like Frankenstein, Moby %&$! e.t.c.. Either Bethesda liked to give us easter eggs or just plain forgot to check..

Edit: ^^ Oops, the book title got censored...

Alright, so you know how the first time you enter Paradise Falls, a slave tries to escape and his head ASPLOEDZ?!?!? Well why do all the slavers go hostile on me when I just shoot him and save them a slave collar?

Because watching a head ASPLODE is so much more fun.
