PureSnipe
Video freeze, or system lockup? Sys lockup sounds like you may be having an issue in the nVidia control panel with SLi load distribution.and @ your siggy:Canal Earbudsabout $70, but I have a pair similar to them, and they've been kicked, stepped on, dropped down a 300 foot grade, landed in snow, and they work like new. evilkoal
system lockup... happens even after i run the crysis benchmark utility :/ though one time it made one whole run loli just defragged my computer again, and clean installed the new drivers. nothing different happened. hmm, i'll have to check those out... i think my friend has a pair just like them :)
Thor.
Creatives Canal headphones are ok, but still doesn't compare to a pair of sennheiser headphones http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=118...r%20Electronics and your sli problem, hmm can you give a better discreption on what happens when your comp locks up, does it restart or crash? that sort of thing. Nice to see some one has the same cards as i do  except mines at 1gb ram
evilkoal
it doesnt do anything really :/ it just stops. screen freezes, if a sound is playing it will keep playing but all jacked up like (you know what im talking about! lol) just a normal system lockup. computer will stay on if i leave it, but other than that, nothing really to report :/ i think yours would be the GX2 if you have 1gb of vram! (i want a pair of those haha, they are sweeeeeet.) those headphones are extremely ugly but the specs are mighty nice :D lol also, i overclocked my fsb to 1333, so now my CPU clock is running 3.0ghz per core. i thought it might be the cpu bottlenecking it, but it wasnt :/
Thor.
It could be the fact you over clocked, try resetting it back to the default settings, some cpu's don't like that. or it could be overheating, maybe better cooling would be an option. and mine are the gx2 clocked around 740MHz, they do rule.--------------------Yea my headphones are kind of ugly, but if anyone says anything i'll just say hey try them on they rule, you know what i mean. They are probably the best sounding headphones i ever bought.
evilkoal
yeah, tried all that, and figured out the problem lol it was the fact that i have no airflow at the bottom of the case! hahaha, i have to cut a hole underneath the second video card, because the air is just being blown onto a metal sheet and bouncing back up at the graphics card. needs some exhaust haha :)
bben46
I'm seeing air holes and fans in the bottom of some newer cases now. You are probably not the only one who has run into this problem. I recommend putting some kind of filter material over your air hole in the bottom as that will be a prime place for the dust bunnies to sneak in. Also, raise the case about an inch to get better airflow.
IamBatosai
What kind of case do you have? Thats useful information if someone is looking to buy a new one. Don't want one that overheats a card.
PureSnipe
What I did was take the dremel tool and cut a vent in the side of my case, then put a little either 60 or 80mm fan on it pulling the hot air out of the case. Works like a charm.
