Kaiodenic
Heya, so we in the Jurassic World Evolution 2 modding community are looking into making our mods as Vortex-compatible as possible. Currently, Vortex defaults to "(...)\Jurassic World Evolution 2\Win64\ovldata" - this is perfect for mods and we appreciate having this set up so well off the bat, but there are a few mods that must go into different folders inside the game directory and we were looking into dedicating a \mods\ folder to modding as well. Is there somewhere we can request the default location to be changed? Thanks a lot in advance
Kaiodenic
Alternatively, if there is a way for an individual mod to specify a different installation path then that would work well as well.
Tannin42
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is supported through a user extension (https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/301) so any change requests you should direct at that user. Vortex offers a mechanism called "mod types" to facilitate situations where a game requires different types of mods to be deployed to different directories so depending on what's best for this game the extension could simply use a different base directory or add a mod type that deploys specific mods to a different directory. For details it's probably best the extension author check the documentation or ask on discord if there is open questions.
