DwemerLexicon
I just visited Ivarstead and when I walked up to the bridge, I found this: http://i.imgur.com/hlpgQ7U.jpg As you can see the bridges wall texture isn't exactly what it's supposed to be. I have got no idea what mod is doing this, or why, but if someone could help out I'd appreciate it a lot. If you want me to I will post my mods list. Coastalaxe
Welp, I would guess that the only mod that could be responsible for this would be a texture mod. Either you downloaded a texture mod that incorrectly gave ground/road textures to the "bridge wall" mesh, or you've been messing with texture files yourself and messed something up. The solution should be simple: First, totally remove any texture/mesh mods that alter bridges and ground textures (roads, paths, dirt, grass, etc.). Second, start up your game and make sure the bridge looks normal (without any mod textures). If at this point your bridge still looks like above, or does not look normal, you should consider backing up your data folder and re-installing Skyrim. Third, start re-installing each texture mod individually, checking your game after each installation. This way you can find out which mod is responsible for the textures. Hopefully this helps! LargeStyle
I've actually had this myself a couple of days ago - and you certainly don't get this by "messing around with textures" - there must be a mod out there that for some reason messed this up. As I wanted to install the Project Parallax mod I needed to install Static Mesh Improvement Mod (SMIM) which overhauls the affected bridge textures - so for me once I'd installed this mod all was well again. As for the direct cause of this, I really don't know. It could be a mesh related problem (texture assignment issue within a .nif) or an incorrectly named texture. The only true way to remove the texture is to look into your bridge meshes texture properties and see which texture has been assigned to it and either correct the texture path or remove the mesh entirely. DwemerLexicon
As a matter of fact I do have Project Parallax mod, and SMIM obviously since it's needed. I've used SMIM for a long time though, so it's certainly not that. However I have already uninstalled Project Parallax, but that didn't change anything, so I'll SMIM. Also - I haven't been messing about with any of the textures files, I wouldn't even know where to begin! I will use these steps and try and fix it if SMIM doesn't work, thanks.
