IsharaMeradin
Is there an option to disable smileys on a specific post? If not, can that be considered? It can get a little annoying (since I always forget about it and have to go back and edit the post) to have to work around the various smiley texts when typing. Example: Skyrim's quick list or favorites hot keys are: (1- :cool:has to becomeSkyrim's quick list or favorites hot keys are: ( 1-8 )
Pherim
I know this is an old post - but nobody has answered it so far and the problem still persists. In fact I found it when I wanted to suggest that "D should not become a smiley, because whenever I try to put a word in quotation marks that starts with a D I get this laughing smiley, but only in the comments section, not in the forums. This is kind of annoying, because when dealing with Bethesda games you often refer to the "Data" folder, and I would like to be able to write this without the space in front of the D. It looks the same as the ;D ( ; D ) smiley, so it is redundant, and for some reason, the quotation mark is still displayed, so actually the "D" alone becomes the smiley. Maybe this can be fixed? DrakeTheDragon
On the file sites when you write a comment there is a checkbox to disable emoticons right below the input area. Doesn't that help?
Pherim
Well, yes, I guess it does, but there have been occasions where I wanted to use them AND write something with "D... but then again, smileys are not that important. ;D
