Let me help you. You are walking along a path heading south and someone says "turn right". Or someone says "turn East". Can you not see those are opposites? P.S. I'm 46 and passed my Geography exam a long time ago. Every map I have seen, east is on the right...... Who said anything about maps? I was told "to YOUR right". If the North Pole is the center, then east is on the right at the near side (bottom) of the map and on the left on the far side (top) of the map.
