I am trying to manage Skyrim Special Edition, but it doesn't show the Hardlink Deployment method. FIrst it said it was becuase Vortex wasn't on the same drive as the game, as I have my games on my D:\ drive and vortex had the mods stored on the C:\ drive. I fixed it, but it still doesn't let me. I says: 'Deployment method "Hardlink Deployment" not available because: Filesystem doesn't support hard links'. What should I do?

Best quote I found online: "Hard links only work on Microsoft Windows operating systems that support NTFS partitions (Windows NT 4.0 or later) while FAT and ReFS file systems do not work with hard links".

Use MMC to verify your D drive is NTFS, and not a network drive.

What is MMC? I am not sure how to do that

I am sorry - if you do not know what it is, I better not tell you how to run it. You can do a lot of damage.

You can Google it though, and get a good tutorial.

I only mention MMC because it is a convenient way to see how your disks are formatted, and what file system they use.
