How can I delete reticles on anything from red dots to mid/long range scopes?

I'm using Combined Arms + Combined Arms (expansion pack), and I'm trying to delete the reticles used with this mod. The scopes and red dots look absolutely amazing but fall extremely short when it comes to the reticles, they're either way too thick for precision shooting or way too bright rendering them completely useless.

so what I'm trying to achieve is to remove the reticles all together and then just rely on a crosshair overlay. I'm free to interchange my reticles on the fly in game this way. can anyone help with this or at least point me in the right direction?
