Wolfmod
The Civil War makes no sense to me. The imperial forces are blindly following a corrupt government and an Emperor who has sold out everyone to the Thalmor. The Stormcloaks are following a power hungry narcissist and while their patriotism is all warm and fuzzy they make it about Nords instead of the people of Skyrim . I actually got to like Jarl Balgruuf and the way he looked out for the people of his hold and attcki8ng him as a Stormcloak feels like such a betrayal. The bottom line is that I don't want to fight for either of them - they both suck. The Blades have found me and their purpose has always been to find and aid candidates for Emperor. I think I'd make a good emperor. To get there, at least one additional quest should be added to each faction - this is where I say or do something that convinces them to support me for Emperor. Each time I win the hearts and minds of a faction be it a hold like Whiterun, an organization - The Brotherhood, Thieves guild, (I play the 'Good Guy' modded versions), the Blades or the College of Winterhold, I get troops. So the blades start recruiting (and actually do) until they have 50 well trained elite warriors. Winterhold gives you wizards, The Thieves guild gives you scouts. There will also be the challenge of winning over each Imperial and Stormcloak camp. Then you hit the Thalmor and the Tribunal before finally becoming emperor. I know, it's not Lore-friendly but the lore really sucks here. You get a really bad choice or the alternative worse one. You get these "rewards" like becoming Arch-Mage of Winterhold... but in a way, you don't. You get the reward but then it has no value. No one mentions it, considers it or gives you any respect because of it. It's like it never happened. If that's lore, then shove it. I just want an experience where I win. Gorsha
I agree with you about this civil war. It seems there is not a "good" side, so I don't side with on. I play as neutral.
Deleted134121543User
I think i never saw one that changes the situation other than the Vanilla Stalemate. Would like a Moot and Balgruf for High King. What i came to understand is that Skyrim is a preparation for next TES Games as all are but its left so that Player Choices wont affect an outcome really other than Main Questline and the Prophecies. As for each side nobody really cares much about anything. Ulfric is more of an Angry Hot Headed Ultranationalist (Meaning he can create an Independant Skyrim and Cultural Restoration) but lacks the Intelligence and Skill to make it right and with Good International relationships. The rest of the Jarls are your typical weak submissive fancy Nobles lacking real sense of Leadership and determination and live in their own world. Titus only cares about running his Superstate. He may sacrifice lifes or Provinces but he plays very well in making the Dominion exhaust their resources and go for the Big Price (Expansion and Control) to take the Dominion itself one day as its weakening itself in time. He is a Military Dictator not a beloved Leader. The Elder Scrolls series has proven that no force can take the Imperial Legion and the Legion literally abandoned and trapped the Dominion inside the Imperial City and again took the City Back which nobody ever managed.According to the lore its the only Proffesional Military and maybe Skyrim gives us the impression that the Dominion is too powerfull but its because of Actor exaggeration. They may make it so though that Titus will end up Assasinated by the Dark Brotherhood (By the Dragonborn or not) they wont mention it in the next Game and the Dominion will start to collapse throughout its occupied Provinces. One thing i learned about Bethesda Elder Scrolls Series is that they give us hints for Next Games throughout the Games. In Morrowind we heared about Chaos in Cyrodiil and a Prophecy of the Daedra entering Tamriel. In Oblivion it happened. In Oblivion the Champion became Sheogorath and he is literally Sheogorath in Skyrim but also the Oblivion Crisis and Withdrawal of the Legions gave us the hint of the Empire loosing the Provinces which opened the way for the Lore we discover here and that the Nerevarine left for Akavir which has alot in common with Michael Kirkbridges writings about the Lost Numidium and Landfall.Although not all of his writing will make it to the Lore. There is even New Canon lore coming about Lorkhans Myth through Elder Scrolls Online and i believe alot of questions will be solved through the yet unexplored Redguard myths. The recent Mobile Game after Skyrim already hints about War and Occupation in Hammerfell. But i doubt this will take place in the next Game.Maybe High Rock or Iliac Bay 100 years + after will be the focus? Speculation. But one hint we have is through Neloths Dialogue where he mentions about returning to Morrowind and how the Dragonborn will be acknoledged as Nobility and such. Could be also possible. I think Neutrality suits the Dragonborn better in regards to the Civil War. Now about Future Lorkhanic Myths and Talos - Ysmir - Last Dragonborn - Pelinal what i understand is that all of them are the same ''Deity'' The Enantiomorph as mentioned in the Elder Scrolls that does what it always did being reborn and wander Tamriel and somehow it might have something to do with Lorkhan/ Sheor/ Shezzar/ Shor being defeated by Auriel/ Akatosh and the result is now this reincarnating Madness which was most visible on Pelinals Personality and all he said. Or something like that. Time will tell. Edited December 29, 2021 by Guest
