Bloodrez
Do People Like Finishing The Freelance Work First Or The Main Quest? Personally, FreeLance When You Do Freelance You Have More Money And Stuff To Do The Main Quest! :)
Malchik
I don't play now except to try out mods but when I used to play I would do miscellaneous and factions other than Great Houses first (including vampiric), main quest until I was Hortator of the three houses, the Great House quests two or occasionally all three by using the console to join the third, completion of main quest and then the faction quests that can only be done after becoming Nectarine. So on the whole I suppose I do the same as you.
unafragger
completion of main quest and then the faction quests that can only be done after becoming Nectarine.Haha, I was just wondering if that was a typo, or if it was intended that way. That's great. :)
Jenlyn Fayre
Well, what concerns me most right now is to get the main quest done because frankly, it's very interesting. I've joined the Fighter's Guild for quests that will up my levels, and I'd like to get into House Redoran for the same reason. I've also joined the Mage's Guild, but this is just so I can get reduced magic prices and have other places to sleep! I'm not really serious about becoming a Mage. I've completed the quests up until I got the assignment in Vivic to find out what happened to the Dwarves. This is perhaps where I'll stop because should I decide to be more of a "Major Mage" when I play the game again as a different character, I want to have some variety in what to do. Overall, IMHO it's important to join guilds/houses that are directly connected to what your attitributes and major skills are. This is how you build up your levels. The rest is small potatoes compared to the main quest. Still, I often do explore just for the sake of exploring. I had a good time wandering in the canals underneath the Foreign Quarter last night! Malchik
Actually the main quest is pretty small compared to the the others if taken together. Quest numbers:- Main - MW 24/Trib 18/BM 23 Other* - MW 427/Trib 19/BM 35 *Some of these are alternatives but not that many. The main quests are generally more interesting than the early faction quests but most later faction quests and the vampiric and daedric quests are on a par with them I would say. One thing is you can pick and choose which factions/misc quests you want to do. This gives a very diverse game.
Adras
Personally I like doing Freeform quests first because you have more of a chance to level up before doing anything major. The furthest I've ever gotton in the main quest (in any of my 3 serious characters that I've made) was delivering the package and saying I wasnt ready for any quests. I have read through the main quest and seen someone play through it, and it looks like a pain. So until I gain a few more level, I'm not going to do it. nickleback04
I tend to do freelance quests first, as the early main quest ones are boring. I have a problem with the first fighters guild quest in Balmora (can anyone suggest a patch?) so i don't do the them. I do the mages guild quests for the fight at the end against the annoying achmage Trebonus. The main quest is underrated though. The end ones are quite good!! yes its a surprise but they are. I like the very last one where you go in the big cavern with the big statue and fight Dagoth Ur (wose voice is pretty un-scarry). Not sayin anymore incase you haven't done them yet. But you get lots of stat increases by doing the main quest (harder, longer missions)
Melu2
I do freelance first to get some level and than go to work on the main quest!
VaanicOne
i usually do freelance, it trains up the character in nice little quests before jumping into the main quest.
