Cete
I NEED IT!! NOW!! We wants it.. We neeeeds it.. My precious! In other words, I'm an impatient fool. Morrowind has nothing more to offer me, but I really need that total and free game experience again! A quick question, I bet it has been asked before. But OK: Will Oblivion be released for Xbox or Xbox 2?

Cheesemonger
About this faster travel, how do we know it will be like a silt strider like system? My guess that you will be able to ride around on sometihng, having to dismount to attack or sometihng, and then having the thing (riding thing) follow oyu around while you loot the poor sod's corpse. That may just work. As for the Dynamic Compass, I think they should just make it a Plugin that comes with the game, just so the older/veteran players can play without, and the mainstreamers can use it. I don't really mind it, so long as it doesn't "nudge" you in the direction you need to go, nad thne if its only been told to you by someoen else. For instance, lets say you need to find person x, and Bob gives you the directions to it. The dynamic compass can then orient itself so that its pointing towards it. You can then go off to go kill of a town or somesuch, and when you are done, you can start walking inthe general direction of it. The point being that it takes the directions from your journal and then points out in the right direction. Not that much of a game breaker, since I mostly do it with me map. Speaking of which, if Oblivion is oging to be "hell" so to speak, whats with the cottages? Is there goign to be some launch off point where you can travel to "Oblivion" (aka Hell) and then come back to regular world? I wouldn't mind that so much. And there's obviously a fast travel system - with a world apparently bigger than Morrowind, you would have to have a fast travel system, beit through silt striders, caravans, wagons, etc... Cheesemonger
Oi, shows how much I know, aye? Sorry for stating the obvious, then. They could implement Arcanums fairly jacked up travel sysytem, where one could mark a place on the map, and then the map draws you there on a big map screen. If there is a creature in the way, it exits the screen and allows onte to enter combat, same as when one reachers the appointed destination. WOuldn't really work for something like Olblivon though. They get Bethesda to make Oblivion for it, and bbad bing bada boom, the cash cow is ready for milking.
