pluxquba Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 (edited) Just starting encountering this today. I was tinkering with SweetFX (which i am absolutely certain had nothing to do with this, along with the rest of my mods that I had completely disabled and uninstalled while trying to figure this out), when I encountered some awful things that left the game mostly unplayable. Here's what happens when I try to launch the game now (NB - this is completely vanilla, no mods) - The game flickers on the main menu, going to black for a split second (the music still plays), and having a slow FPS when the cards come up after the PLEASE STAND BY message) - Upon loading the game, my combat shotgun doesn't always appear; I clearly have it out, and I can shoot with it (bullets appear), but the actual gun model doesn't appear unless I reload the game with quicksave-quickload- My game stutters heavily when I try to pull up my Pip Boy, to the point that it becomes painful to use- My FPS as a whole is much worse than it previously was I've tried reverting to default INIs, uninstalling my mods (as mentioned), and everything I can think of, but I'm not sure why this is happening. my specs are the following: - GPU: Nvidia GeForce MX130 (notebook)- CPU: Intel Core i7-8550U- CPU Speed: Around 3.7 GHz. I underclock my CPU with ThrottleStop and have for a very long time- System Ram: 8GB- GPU VRAM/Display Memory: 4055mb- Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit- Monitor Display: 1920x1080, 60hz- Hard Drive Free Space: 44.3 GB- Is it a laptop?: Yes it is, and i've been able to run all sorts of demanding games on it. Thankfully, Fallout 3 isn't that demanding Now, some game info: - Directory: C:\GOG Games\Fallout 3- Patch: 1.7.0.4- DLCs: All of them - Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta, Broken Steel.- Mods: None Edited January 2, 2022 by pluxquba
