What do you think is unrealistic

It is just a game but I think we need to consider certain things before we act on them. Having Nazi uniforms in oblivion is nothing more than pixels but when a mod came out with them, people got upset. I'm not taking sides with either view but as modders we have to consider what is taboo. You could say that having sex poses with children in oblivion is just pixels and no one should be offended by it. I would be willing to bet that if children are made for the game, someone will have those poses. I believe that we each go by our own feelings when modding and I believe that we should take a stand as modders on what should be excepted. The simple truth is that we make the mods that we want to play and it is up to us as individuals to decide what we will make. Being an adult and having actually had sex with a real person of the opposite sex before, I don't need sex poses in my game to get a thrill. But others seem to like them and I'm not about to tell anyone that they shouldn't have them if they want. It's just not something that I would make myself.

 

If I were to say that I hate Jews (I don't, it is just an example) People would be offended. So I know that by posting that comment that I will be causing problems on the forum. The same should be said about our mods, if we know that it will be offensive to people, why make it? Why post it? Why start trouble?

You have a good point, but I for one, don't get offended so easyly unless someone says something unthrue about me. If I want to make something I make it(if I can of course) and I don't realy care what happened years ago. Games are for fun. People should understand that and not mix reality with game worlds. You don't like it? Don't buy it....heck don't even look at it.

 

To get back on topic I should say that everything about Oblivion ain't real. Simple as that.

some people say lifes a disgusting game but the graphics are nice. an i say hell yes lifes hard try to manage it or die trying ( love this "die trying" thing from shoegorath alot ö.ö)

 

and to be honest there are some feeaking sick things on my mind but iam never broke the wall that is called conscience so, the only one thing people have to fear about is that their kids get a lack of it an doing this freaking things...

indeed a childs brain and his personality is not build up strong enough to know whats worng or right or even to know the consequeces... so there would be no problem if there would be shown conseqences for your deeds in the game... but this is just not able to made ingame such as you get arrestet for murder sitting of years by just klick on the bed O.o

 

for this case i can understand some parents beeing upset about violence in a game but isnt it the job of a mother / father to take care that a child cant get to such things ?

 

but this is not the right place to discuss peoples ethic decisions, in fact they are uniqe and can never please all of us.

i just use a sentence ive heard in a movie it was about " people hurt other people by being just born the live of every beeing hurts the one of an other in some way the only way to solve the problem is to learntto apolgies honestly and forgive each other"

 

 

there are just too many things in oblivion which are showing no sence, one of those is the named fact that there are no children.

i mean there are parents in the game and in many quests you can hear from children but did they just plop right out of their mothers saying "hi mum iam mature now!" ?

i just think of the ottus family (the mother is the one who had wiritten the books about the citys in the game)

they live in the imperial city at once there ist alessia her hustband and their daughter.

but the daughter in fact looks older than the mother <.< thats unrealsitic

 

and why the hell you cant get any sex in the game? why are there not only one bordello for some salty water proofed sea dogs for example

don´t get me wrong iam not up to seeing some pornographic scenes, hell when i want see some sex il make it XD

i would be pleased by a black screen with some dirty sentences or someting like its known from games like fable ^^ that would add some humorous aspect to the game i think its slightly needed

 

the other unrealistic thing is that you cant get married

 

or why you cant sell an deed just like the deed to frostcag spire ?

 

why there is an invisble border across cirodill so that you cant go just to morrowind or hammerfall ( in know this is stupid but it is indeed a unrealistic aspect of the game )

 

why does my character wear the same leather made underwear which got a lack of comford if theere are clothing made of cloth

 

why does the underwear not get an awfull smell after fighting hordes of enemys ?

 

why do the people say " look at all the muscles on you " but i just looking like ive come out of the sewers ?

 

why iam not even got a scar after getting hurt in combat ?

 

why is valen dreth flirting to every female prissoner even if you playn a granny ? XD

 

why are all mages are not simply naked if armor and stuff lowers your magical effects ? XD

 

why lucien lechance is a sightly rotten corpse just some momments after he got killed ?

 

why you cant get the mony or inventory of an trader after you have killed him ?

 

why i cant carry corpses out of sight?

 

why does i need a key for an rotten old door or small little chest if i got a two handet axe in my hand ? XD

 

why you can rapair equiptment made of unique matrial over and over again without wearing it out ?

 

why does dameged equipment not looking damaged ?

 

an last but not least....

Na, they did what they had to do to release the game. Otherwise it would end up like Duke Nukem Forever. :yes:

thats right but if they release a game wiith such a potetial they could have release more and more offical plugins to solve things in fact they could not manage to fix some translation iusses for some languages <.<

Where are the God Damm children ??? i mean com on, if bethesda dont want to include them becuse killing children would be an attemp to the (civilisim) sorry my spelling... then why they did not including them in game with a script that would say something like (Are you Insane...Hitting a children ! and then the script would pull back the weapon into inventory (not draw),,,and there you go...you can have children in the game !

EDIT: and im sure that the ppl would complain (yeah but its not realistic, you cant kill the kid)...I SAY NO, whats realistic is to have some in game that you cant kill ! eniways...you got the point, i'm sure !

 

I think it's not so hard to add unkillable children to a game.

 

They managed to do it in TheWitcher. The kids in that game get a green tag which makes them allies and unable to be hit, even though they're cheeky to you.
