BandOfDog
So I was wondering what version of NVSE everyone else uses? I'm currently using 2b12 and wondered if there was any kind of performance increase when using the 3b2 version. Which is up on the NVSE site as beta. I get this weird bug sometimes with NVSE where FNV will use more than 2gb of memory (or so task manager says) and then it will start responding really slowly to menu commands. This includes pressing the esc buttong for the menu and also bringing up inventory or the buy menu's for stores. The only fix I've managed to find is fast travelling to another area or restarting the game. I have 8GB of RAM so I can't see it being that. What are everyone elses thoughts on NVSE? Oh and I'm using the 4gb loader as well.
JimboUK
You should be using this version of NVSE http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip
jazzisparis
NVSE versions do not differ in performance. Newer versions expand the available script commands and/or tweak existing commands. Unless a mod specifically requires a later version, I'd stay with 2b12.
BandOfDog
You should be using this version of NVSE http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip So you're saying I should just be using the 4gb loader and delete the initial NVSE files? BandOfDog
Also are the lock ups with menus and stuff to be expected? Like something you just have to live with? EDIT: I Have that version of the 4gb loader already and that zip file which comes from the nvse site doesn't contain anything to do with NVSE at all..just the loader software/files. The 4gb NVSE loader is not a version of NVSE - rather, it is a special version of the 4gb loader that launches nvse_loader.exe instead of FalloutNV.exe, and is otherwise identical to the default 4gb loader. You still need to install NVSE as usual.
