Musa // Sniper (?)

Version: 0.4 [WIP]

Type: Original Armor Mod

Requirements: Vanilla

Author: Gaijune (aka Shake)

What is this? //

An original armor mesh inspired by the works of Ukitakumuki. This is the work-in-progress of a lightweight, versatile, sniper/scout oriented set of equipment that will include various 'modular' accessories. The set will include a unique body armor, several variations of headwear (Mask + Hood, Maskless Hood, etc.), optional backpack/sidewear accessories (increased carrying capacity, defense rating boosts, etc.), and custom weapons. Feedback is welcomed.

When will it be done? //

Stay tuned.

Updates //

0.4: The mask has been finalized, for the most part. I fixed a few problems with smoothing groups and welding errors, threw in some lights, and used some procedural colors to map out what is what. I'll be focusing on unwrapping and rigging soon.

0.3: I've been tinkering with the roughed out model for a month or so now. The mesh is much more detailed than it originally was, but it still needs work. It needs to be checked rather thoroughly to remove any unnecessary verts and clean up any mistakes I missed. Whether or not I'm going to brush model the normals is uncertain. I could use the texture practice.

0.2: I threw together a quick and dirty version of the armor to import into the engine. After testing it ingame, everything works fine, but the rig wasn't properly set up. I'll have to sort out what should be attached to what when the time comes.

Quick Thanks //

My Love, for the years to come

Bethesda Softworks, for the references and documentation

Ukitakumuki, for his inspiring works of art

Thanks!

cool stuff! :) are you using Growlfs tutorials by chance?

I've looked over a few tutorials that were more or less random, but I haven't followed any video/step-by-step explanations. I've been messing around in 3DSmax for a few years and had made several Oblivion mods for personal use that involved Mesh edits and rigging. I have yet to get an original, complete design in an engine, though. So this is a step for me!

Goals and aspirations, GET!
