Whats your beef?

I just got another beef, why can't you become a guard for some of the towns? Some one should create a mod which alows this, like the game would randomly spawn creatures that would attack the town and range in difficulty.

I got an even better one. I WANNA BE AN ORDINATOR!!!!! I mean, the ordinators are allowed to wear indoril armor, i am the original (maybe) Lord Indoril Nerevar, shouldn't i be allowed to be an ordinator? Ya know, you could get your quests from Vivec himself, or serve almalexia. (within reason... might mess up tribunal quests... but still, how about it being used as a tribunal add on, you could play tribunal the original method, or take the path of the hands. (Her hands... aka High Ordinators.)

 

Ditto goes for becoming some of the other weird factions. Things mentioned, but never really explored. None come to mind at the moment. (See note)

 

note: Which is why i have posted some of my own beefs here. My mind is as foggy as a Cold London Morn'. I see things on MWSummit, which is where i usually look first, but im not fond of fileplanet... (CANT... GET... REGISTRATION.... EMAIL!!!) but i can often find what im looking for elsewhere... But i dont get to download something as soon as i see it, so the result is, i know theres a mod out there, but dont know where to find it anymore. doh! Besides, someone else might read this thread and see a beef they had but not solved. Now they can! And MWSummit (and fileplanet) arent exactly 56k friendly... neither is GIANTS. DOH it again. NS, are you talking about a sort of unlimited quest mod? Technically, there are a few of those. VVarcoop is a good one, if it works for you. I applied it midgame and had a problem. But it seems to work fine now! Unlimited random courier quests for merchants. WHEE!!!! (Provides moneymaking opportunitys.)

Technically, all the guards are just house members. Members of faction, and of a specific rank.

At some point, doesn't Almalexia say something along the lines of "I mark you as my servant"? I think it's when you get a choice of one out of three CE effects...Iron Skin, Resist Paralysis, and (I think) Fortify Magicka.

 

That's another thing! Fortify Whatever effects don't work! Fortify Fatigue knocks you out when it expires, Fortify Health can kill you, and Fortify Magicka puts you in magicka debt! All the Fortify Attribute spells work fine UNLESS you get hit with a Drain Attribute, and then you end up with a damaged stat!

I had that same problem with a fortify fatigue ring, if my fatigue was low and I took the ring off I would colaps, and have to sleep untill it wares off, oh well the price of power is a high one!

I ended up joining the Quarra clan right after I installed the LGNPC mods ( 6 of them I think), but I'm now out of vampire mode and deffnitely enjoying the mods now that I'm running around the west coast of Vardenfell. They add a good deal of personality to the towns they've done so I'd recommend them nethusiastically to anyone who asks. The mod for Maar Gan (corrected from Gnisis) is probably the best so far but they've all been enjoyable when I've been in the different towns.

 

 

It's called the Less Generic NPC Project available at Morrowind Summit.  They may still be working; currently they have issued five mods covering Ald Velothi, Gnaar Mok, Hla Oad, Khuul and Maar Gan.  To find them quickly search for the author 'LGNPC Team'.  Let us know what you think.

 

It gives each NPC except guards their own dialogue and adds the odd quest.

Another thing I thought of last night is that it stinks that there are no Asian-looking races in MW. We have whites and blacks, but no Asian looking races. Personally, I'd love to have a character like that. There are so many awesome looking swords and armor for a character like that to wear.

Thanks for the posts every one, This has been a good topic in my opinion, Anyways, Crim would you agree that the Orcish amour looks ALOT like samurai armor? Well mabey just the Helm. I find this anyway. Thanks to you all for your posts although I don't know of any mods that were created as a result of this topic but I'm sure it helped alot of peep thanks again!

Does this mean you want to stop the topic? And it takes a good deal of time to create a good mod, especially if many models need to be created... or if one lacks artistic talent. (Talent. HAH!)

Keep your eyes peeled NS... and remember! Watch the Forums... eh... that didn't turn out so good. It was supposed to be a pun on 'watch the skies'... but anyway... keep your eyes peeled... someone may just come up with a mod for this... *Clears throat, looks around at the world*

as you said NS, this forum has helped a lot of people. I know lots of titles and links have been posted, so it was a real success... but serisouly... does any real hard-core modder spend time in the forums? If they did, then when would they work on the mods? (J/K)

OH, and YES orc armor does look kinda like samurai armor... if your an rpg freak like me, what i was kinda thinking of was genji-like armor... something gilgamesh would wear, or that frickin ultra rare set of red-n-black genji armor from FFT... But who's complainin?

I was using my Lv. 87 mage yesterday and I realized that although you can make really powerfull spells with the spell maker in any mage guild, it is impossible to cast these "Uber" spells. So I made an ulitmate Controle spell: (Command Huminoid 1000, and fortify Athletics 300 on other, range 1000) This made everyone I could see follow me and they were actually able to keep up!
