Grogthenailer
I have been thinking, not sure if this has been already done before or not. Take the most endorsed mods in a given category and mesh them all into one install mod with the intention of they all play nice together. IE: Start with a base Overhaul like Skyre or Requiem add 1 combat mod that is most endorsed,, same with the AI part add a water mod add a lighting weather mod blood mod sound mod weapon + armor mod Horse mod Follower mod Magic Mods like deadly dragons / monsters / bandits (like OBIS) So basically using the most endorsed/dloaded list, packaged into one install Doable? Mods made is future can base compatibility off of this pack of mods. I don't know, seems reasonable. Halendia
Sure enough doable but as mod authors go, I doubt anyone would like the idea of being "pushed aside", and a mod like this would naturally require a heap of permissions. It'd be nice though, if the Nexus could launch a "collection" system, like the Steam Workshop has, but I'm afraid as it is now, you're gonna have to make do with Steam's solution. Lisnpuppy
In theory...yes It would take an immense amount of work to get all these things to play "nice" and even still...many people have different levels of computers that just can not handle such a Frankenstein mod. More so...any attempts to do this would be required that the person doing the "mashing" verify and/or obtain permissions from every author whose mod is used. Also as some mods also use OTHER authors work...their permission may need to be obtained also.
Grogthenailer
The decision of mods is a fairly easy one, the users decided through endorsements really, so the info is already there. Permissions may be an issue but if someone does not want their mod included, then move down the list.
Grogthenailer
The mod itself should be geared for a mid-level computer system, perhaps have 3 levels of it, some decisions would need to be sure, I am not the one to do that of course but i do know the talent available in the skyrim community. Grogthenailer
Could be just a list of 10 mods that play well, well designed thought out list basrd off endorsed, combined..whatever...might work out very well
Lisnpuppy
If someone wishes to take on such a task and dots all their i's and crosses all their t's then more power to them. As I said there are rules that must be followed even should one be able to perform such a feat. Good luck in your endeavor. Don't spam..there is an edit button for a reason.
