amokrun1
So like the title says, the formIDs of the records in my plugin get changed. I am overwriting another mod in my load order with these changes. Everything is fine for awhile but then at some point the formIDs get changed. Just one digit gets changed, the first one, so for example 6A03A3E0 gets changed to BA03A3E0. Why does this happen? I am going back and forth from the GECK to FO3Edit, sometimes both open at the same time, could that be it?
HeyYou
The first two are the load order of the mod. Likely when you save it, it changes the date, so, it loads later. Try resetting your load order after changing it, see if that fixes it.
amokrun1
I actually see what's been going on, it seems when I make changes in the GECK, save and close, I can see that the plugin I am trying to overwrite has been removed as a master from my plugin. How can this be happening?
amokrun1
Found it was something of an error with a GECK straight install. Geck Extender resolved it.
blove
GECK does not like to save a plugin as a master to a plugin. You can false flag the ESP as an ESM with FO3Edit.
amokrun1
I remember reading something about that actually. In any case, the extender fixes it so no need for that extra step at least. Thanks for the reply!
