I've the same opinion as you about using Steam so I've followed the developments of the GOG version of Oblivion with great interest since they first started offering it. I know that the day will eventually come where either my disk versions will not work because of physical damage to the disks (I do have multiple copies though ... I'm the sort who values backups for my backups) or even more likely when I build a new computer that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive (not so likely that I couldn't work around that issue though). Do keep in mind the advice that Lanceor gave back at the start ... with GOG you can run the game without their Galaxy software running (Galaxy is analogous to Steam Community or whatever they're calling it theses days) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
