Charlesken
I am having a lenovo idea pad i3 5th gen laptop. The laptop is over 6 years old. I have entensively used it for movies, gaming in the past. But as of now iam just using it for normal browing, and iam running my business apllication in it. But still it has heating issues. Is this because of the usage wear and tear or should I consider changing my battery?
HeyYou
Your battery has nothing to do with the overheating. It's likely that the fan/heatsink is simply clogged with dust. The machine IS fairly old. :) You might be able to pull the back off the machine, and blow out the fan, and solve your heating issue. DO NOT just blow from outside in though. That just blows the dust further into the machine, and can cause more troubles that you solve.... Gotta open it up, and clean it out.
Charlesken
Hi new update,I had found that my business application was running in the background all the time when I switched on my lap. I found this fix by a ardrous process by uninstalling some big softwares that I had on my lap. It was my taxi dispatching software that was connected with the support team all the time. No I have contacted the developers who made me this app and escalated this issue. Will update if anything has been done by them. Thank you.
