What's good about Final Fantasy III, and will I ever like it?

I've played a lot of FF games and currently I'm playing XIV / ARR. The love this game and its devs have for III is unreal. Entire dungeons are reproduced in massive gorgeous detail. I've heard Yoshi-P say it's his favourite FF game of all time.

I've tried playing III twice on the DS remake and I couldn't get into it. It felt slow, clunky and awkward. I didn't play a lot, up until Hein's castle. The story telling felt simple and not engaging. The mechanics often seemed complex. I also felt frustrated by the incredibly stupid DS friend code feature required to unlock the Onion Knight class. mobdro kodi

But it's so beloved I know there must be something there...

What is great about FFIII? Story? Exploration? Character? Depth? Is it worth just digging out a translation of the NES version rather than playing the DS version? I couldn't tell if the DS version's bells and whistles only served to slow the game down and make it frustrating or not.

For reference I've played and enjoyed just about everything from IV to X, and the SNES games are my favourites. The difference between III and IV seems quite stark.

(don't mean to bash III, I accept that the problem may be with me and not the game!)

As an avid fan of FF games, I've played XIV/ARR, and I can attest to the love that the game and its developers have for III. The level of detail in reproducing entire dungeons is impressive. Yoshi-P himself has said that III is his favorite FF game of all time.

However, despite my love for the FF franchise, I couldn't get into III on the DS remake. It felt slow, clunky, and awkward, and the storytelling was simple and not engaging. The mechanics were complex, and the DS friend code feature required to unlock the Onion Knight class was frustrating. This raises the question of whether the DS version's bells and whistles only serve to slow the game down and make it frustrating.

Nonetheless, as III is beloved by many, there must be something great about it. Perhaps it's the story, exploration, characters, or depth that makes it worth playing. It's worth considering whether digging out a translation of the NES version would be a better option than playing the DS version.

If you've enjoyed everything from IV to X, then the stark difference between III and IV might be significant. As for hosting options, you could consider DMCA Ignored VPS or offshore VPS hosting for your gaming needs. Netherlands offshore Dedicated servers
