someguynamedjoe
Have you decided on a location for the True Enclave base?Just wondering. I might have a few suggestions if you haven't.
Gafgar Adolis
I brought the matter up with my dad, who was in the Air Force back before the wall came down. He said the best location for a hidden Raven Rock-style facility with access to technology like the Vertibirds would be an isolated area well away from any major targets for a nuclear strike. Thus, it was best to put it out in the middle of nowhere where no one in their right minds would sacrifice a nuke in the vague hope of hitting something. Therefore, the main Enclave base - at least until some other facilities (like the Pentagon) are recaptured and repaired - will be located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Edit: Of course, all of this depends on me figuring out how to get my GECK working again. Again.
someguynamedjoe
Apparently, there will be new Enclave soldiers in Broken Steel, like the Hellfire Enclave Trooper (and with them come new Power Armor). Will you be implementing them, too?
Gafgar Adolis
Check page 4, where I have already laid out how True Enclave will deal with the official DLCs like Broken Steel.
Mavkiel
A couple of thoughts occured to me. If we can join the enclave, I assume that there will be ranks? (work your way up from private?) IF you include some rewards for gaining ranks it would be neat. Access to shops, better gear/ammo for sale etc. Finally, not sure if this is possible but maby tie this into the enclave commander mod? Perhaps limit it to how many troopers you can call in per rank? Have prisoners you can capture with enclave commander show up in your cells for disection.. err study. Gafgar Adolis
There will indeed be ranks, though the player will enter at a rather high one as part of the deal with Autumn. Promotions will grant better equipment (the APA Mk III will require you to rise to the second highest rank and complete most of the True Enclave main quest line before you even get the opportunity to start the quest line required to unlock it) and higher command options. For example, at a lower rank you might complete a mission to seize a factory occupied by raiders/mutants/radpidgeons that may contain useful salvage by leading a Verti-Assault Team to take the factory, or march a larger, more lightly armed force of infantry to attempt the same. At a higher rank you could request artillery or air support and have a backup squad acting autonomously under your general orders, and at the highest ranks you could simply delegate the entire operation to the grunts and monitor their progress without ever leaving the Enclave base. Alternatively, you could fund the development of an Enclave version of the Chinese stealth suit using advanced Stealth Boy technology and have commandos yank all the useful salvage right out from under the noses of the factory's occupants and then blow the whole place to smithereens from a safe distance away, or swarm the place with disposable robots, or bribe the locals into clearing the place out for you (and either pay up afterwards or make sure they won't survive the attempt), etc. Content similar to Enclave Commander will be implemented, but it will not be precisely the same and the two mods will be separate but compatible.
