Optional option to turn on ads for premium members?

What do you think about having the option to enable ads for premium members? Except the video ads if they are still around :P

 

I'm a premium member and I wouldn't mind seeing a few ads in order to support the site.

I suggested it a while back and Robin thought I was crazy. While he's probably right about me being crazy, my insanity has nothing to do with wanting to turn the ads back on. :smile: (Unless implementing this will take more coding than it's worth of course).

I hope bumping this thread rather than starting a new one is the right choice, especially when there's already been another thread on the subject which has gone unanswered.

 

I'd like to be able to enable ads on my account, despite being a supporter member. I don't have the money to be a long-term subscriber to the premium service, so enabling ads is the best way I can support the site, but I'm currently unable to do so. I feel bad that a single £3.59 donation has made the site ad-free for almost 2 years now; I use this site quite a lot and will continue to do so for many years to come, seems only fair that I see some ads in return.
