Not sure if this belongs here... Unknown Item for unknown quest

I have FOUR 'Staff Of Mass Calm' in my inventory and I can't drop them because they're labeled as a quest item. I don't know what quest they go to so I searched for this staff and no website recognizes that it even exists. It physically looks like the Staff of Calm but it's label states it's Staff of MASS Calm and somehow I have four of them. I have no idea where I got them either. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't seem to get the image posted for some reason. It states JPG and PNGs are not allowed.

I posted the picture on my website. Here's the link

When I noticed it, I had a quest or two in my journal but they weren't active. I think I just picked this staff up randomly on a dead attacker or in a chest somewhere. I tend to only run one quest at a time and I complete one, I choose the next on I want to do. As I said above, I searched numerous Skyrim websites for this staff and no one seems to know that it even exists in the world. For example, on The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages:

Do a name search in the console help "name of staff", look for the weapon entry and note the first two digits of the ID. Exit the game, load up your mod manager, look at your plugin load order, find the plugin with the same first two digits. The staff comes from that plugin. Check out any documentation associated with that plugin as there could be some information available as to its purpose.

All that said, the Staff of Mass Calm is supposed to come from the Dragonborn DLC as random loot and as a crafted item at Neloth's staff enchanter. It may be possible that some random item fetch quest has that staff as its target.

First, I want to thank you for responding with assistance.

I did do a search using the help Staff of Mass Calm but it came up with nothing. I forgot the exact verbiage it used but there were no results. I tried getting the ID from what I gleaned from other sites on how to do it, basically open the console and point to it with the cursor and click but that didn't bring up accurate results because clicking different areas of the image of the staff would give me different results and clicking on the name of it in my inventory has the same results. There was something else that happened that I thought was strange yesterday. I equipped the staff, one in my right hand and one in my left, closed the inventory screen and opened it again and then there were two listing as for the same staff, both with a (2) next to them. I closed the inventory screen again and opened it again and then there were two listings but one had a (3) next to it and the other was just single. I was able to delete the single, I think I put it in a chest somewhere in Lakeview Manor. I tried the replicate it now that I had three but it wouldn't work. This is real strange.

At least now I know where the staff was created. I never crafted it myself thought, just to be clear. I also don't believe I have any crafting mods in my load order, at least nothing that should do anything like this.

Again, thanks for what help you've been.

If you originally had a single stack with (4) and at least one of the instances was flagged as a quest object, the entire stack would not be able to be removed from inventory. However, as you discovered if you can split the stack then you may be able to remove those that are not flagged as a quest object. I am not certain but using a staff and lowering its charges might cause them to not stack. If true, you could use that to determine which specific instance is flagged as a quest object. Then it becomes a matter of determining which active quest it might belong to.

That said, there could be a mod added quest that flags the item as a quest object long before it really needs to be a quest object just so it will not "get lost".

Well, the second time I tried it after removing the first one, I shot the two I had in my hands numerous times and it did nothing. I'll try again later when I play it again tonight though and if I see anything unusual I'll make another post.
